Bay Window Roof replacement and associated works:

• Stripped off existing roof covering and removed rubbish from site
• Cut back rotten timber to edges and supplied and installed new timber battens to form a drip edge
• Supplied and installed new timber arris to abutment wall
• Supplied and installed two layers of INDEX torch-on felts From the moment I got in contact for a quote everything was trouble-free and easy. Garage/ Utility flat roof refelted.

Stripping off the existing roofing and replace the felt over the roof of the garage and the utility room with added insulation over the utility and timber curb to finish off.

All rubish removed and left clean and tidy.


All went very well.

Removal of old felt all cleared and taken away.

Work carried out on the refelting to the garage/ utility roof with added insulation to the utility room roof. Completed in about 2 and half days.

I asked for some pictures of the roof. And Mr Aldridge sent me some pictures on completion.

I was very happy with the work carried out and would definitely recommened this company.

Removal and replace a small flat roof and facia/guttering. Bird spikes fitted to ridge tiles and chimney pots. Fitted one chimney cowl the scaffolding was put up by a different company but price in. The team worked very hard together, tidy, well mannered, and thoughtful.
The scaffolding company called competitive scaffolding were very quick putting it up and double-checked all bolts etc. Before leaving three men worked together as a team, very polite.

There was work needed inside the roof space, with the purlings

A broken downpipe which was potentially causing damp inside the property

Where the flue from the boiler came through the roof, there was some movement in the tiles, and the lead around the flue needed renewing

Repairs to the small verge Aldridge Roofing was recommended to me by a local Estate Agent. My Dad''s property was on the market but a few things came to light that needed repairing and/or replacing

As I don''t live locally it was reassuring to be told of a reliable, local company who could possibly do the work

Within a couple of days a quote came through giving the various jobs that needed doing, along with photographs, with an itemised quote for each individual job

When I contacted Aldridge Roofing to say I was happy with the qoutes and to please go ahead as soon as possible, although the company was very, very busy, they very kindly squeezed in the work on Dad''s property

Within a couple of days of completion I received the invoice for the completed work, which was exactly the amount I was quoted, and I was more than happy to settle the bill promptly

Throughout the above process, emails were sent to me to keep me up to date on what was happening, which was extremely helpful as I don''t live locally, and any emails I needed to send were replied to quickly, courteously and fully. It was so nice to deal with Aldridge Roofing on this occasion, taking away any worries I might have had by not being on site. I can''t thank you enough - I just wish other companies were even a little like yours!!

Tile replacement. This work was carried out onmy parents property and from their feedback I feel Aldridge Roofing were considersye, punctual and very professional. The cos I felt was reasonable. Would recomend them.

All work was completed as agreed and to a high standard.
Michael and James were considerate with parking of vehicles and ensuring the site was kept safe and tidy at all times.

Very sadly i experienced a close bereavement shortly after the work had started and re roofing was suspended for a period of time to ensure i was not disturbed unduly and I was able to say when I was ready for the work to restart.

Michael and James were always polite and professional.

I was kept upto date by Robert with regard to how the work was progressing and this was discussed with me on a regular basis.

From providing a quote to explaining the timeframe for the work to be carried out I found Mr Aldridge to be very helpful and informative. We have a large-ish riverside building - a former boathouse now used as an annexe to the main house - which is about 200 years old. The original slate roof was in bad need of complete restoration, involving the addition of extra rafters, replacement of rotten sections of the original fabric, new felting, and supply of nearly 300 matching reclaimed slates to replace broken originals. The invoice was in line with the estimate, and we were amazed that so much work could be completed for such a relatively modest cost. We had to wait some months for Aldridge Roofing to be available - due not only the Covid 19 and bad weather, but also to their formidable local reputation (they are always in great demand)- but the experience was well worth the wait.

We can’t adequately express how pleasant it has been to have Robert and his colleagues working here and how grateful we are, to have been the beneficiaries of their quiet skills and craftsmanship. They obviously take pride in going over and above what might have been expected from a less dedicated team. Superb!
