Removed existing ridge / hip tiles and removed from site
Removed existing tiles and removed from site
Removed existing felt and timber battens and removed from site
Supplied and installed quilted felt and new treated timber battens
Supplied and installed new felt support trays and eaves comb
Installed new Sandtoft Arcadia roof tiles and nailed every one
Supplied and installed new hip irons
Installed new hip tiles and ridge tiles bedded in sand and cement and mechanically fixed.

Work Carried Out to Flat Roof:
Stripped off existing roof coverings / decking and removed rubbish from site
Supplied and installed new decking using 18mm OSB3 sterling boards
Supplied and installed vapour barrier
Supplied and installed 120mm insulation
Supplied and installed two layers of INDEX torch-on felts



The overall work was carried out in an exceptionally professional manner and we were kept fully updated with any changes to the original estimate where necessary.

Removed and totally replaced existing low pitch tiled roof of extension, including leaking Velux roof window. Replaced tiles, battens, felting, Velux window and lead seals. All completed in the 2 days as we were told. Robert Aldridge quickly assessed the problem with our roof, advised us what needed doing, and gave an approximate estimate. The work was carried out in the time frame as specified, and we were kept informed all through the process. Robert and his team always worked diligently and carefully and we have nothing but praise for their workmanship and professionalism.

Guttering repairs Robert and his team arrived early and worked non-stop. They were all friendly and helpful explaining what was happening on the day. Repairs to roof following storm damage Excellent service. Following storm, roof repair companies either did not answer or did not call back when messages left but Aldridge Roofing answered first time and called back as promised. They were able to assess the job quickly and supplied a competitive and detailed quote. They also kept me up to date with when the scaffolding would arrive and when the job would be completed, together with photos of before and after for our records. This is the second time we have used this company and would definitely recommend them.

Re-roof of my victorian house''s slate roof. Taking off artificial slates, felt and battens and replacing with new spanish slates, improved insulation and new breathable membrane. Insulating the roof aswell as boarding out the loft. Also slating a new roof on our new outbuilding in the garden. Robert Aldridge has worked for me before on new flat felt roofs when I lived in Herringfleet. His work was very neat so I wanted to use him again for my new house in Beccles.
I didn''t like having artificial slates on my roof and wanted to board out the loft and improve the insulation so I asked Robert to come and quote.
I also changed the white upvc guttering for black aluminium cast iron effect to suit the style of the house as it is Victorian.
He was prompt with the quote and explained everything in detail.
He tried to save me money where he could but didn''t cut back on quality as I am fussy about this which I know Robert is too.
When Robert and his team were working at mine they all worked hard and respected our privacy. They were all polite and got on with their job.
My house is a very tall and awkward house to work on but that didn''t seem to bother them.
They also did the slate roof on my new outbuilding in the garden straight after they finished the main roof.
All the work is now complete and I am very pleased.
I am in the building trade myself and know exactly when someone does a good job or not.
I would highly recommend Robert and his team to anyone. It is worth waiting for him if you can as he is busy but that is a good sign!

Replaced a ridge tile blown off by storm Eunice Last year Aldridge Roofing repaired part of my roof which was leaking like a sieve! They did a great job and I’ve had no problems with it since. However, when a ridge tile blew off during the recent storms Aldridge was the first company I approached – and now they’ve replaced it thank goodness.

Repairs to tiled roof following storm damage This is the second time I have employed Aldridge Roofing and I have always found them to be friendly, efficient and effective. I shall have no hesitation in using their services whenever I need roofing done.

Secured the coping stones at the top of the Georgian fascade on a grade II* listed building. Completed stonework renovation and re-pointing, with remediation of soft Suffolk red brick. Completed re-flashing of leadwork.
Superb experience. Communicated well before, during and after the job was completed. All work completed exactly as agreed with clear explanations and choices given throughout. No cost overruns were suggested or charged.

Site was tidied on a daily basis and always left secure.

Gutter repair after storm damage We needed work done quickly after the recent storm and being a holiday chalet it was difficult for us to visit. They were very helpful and understanding, especially as we had used them before on a larger project and was more than happy with their quality of work.

Installation of a 63m2 warm roof for my new annexe and the fitting of roof extractor vents and associated leadwork. Aldridge Roofing recently undertook the installation of a warm roof for my new annexe comprising a converted garage with new extension.

They also fitted two roof extractor vents and the leadwork to seal the connection between the new roof and the existing house.

Under the able leadership of Robert Aldridge his team carried out high quality work in a timely, safe, friendly and professional manner.
