Norfolk Trusted Trader scheme was created to give the residents a safe way to access traders and services avoiding the rogue traders which sadly can exploit the vulnerable within our communities.
The term ‘Trading Standards Approved’ relates to a current member of Norfolk Trusted Trader who has completed the full vetting process. Select here to learn exactly what is and isn't meant or implied, such as work done, products and services or guarantees.
The Norfolk Trusted Trader scheme also aims to support quality local businesses in Norfolk, offering them the opportunity to show that they have achieved the required standard to attain membership of the only approved trader scheme from Norfolk County Council.
All members pass a range of checks during the application process before being accredited by Norfolk Trading Standards.
All members have agreed to trade legally and fairly as part of the Norfolk Trusted Trader Code of Practice, which covers:
- transparent procedures for quoting and carrying out work
- only charging a fair and reasonable price
- dealing with complaints promptly
