Following storm, roof repair companies either did not answer or did not call back when messages left but Aldridge Roofing answered first time and called back as promised. They were able to assess the job quickly and supplied a competitive and detailed quote. They also kept me up to date with when the scaffolding would arrive and when the job would be completed, together with photos of before and after for our records. Re-roof of my victorian house''s slate roof. Taking off artificial slates, felt and battens and replacing with new spanish slates, improved insulation and new breathable membrane. Insulating the roof aswell as boarding out the loft. Also slating a new roof on our new outbuilding in the garden. Robert Aldridge has worked for me before on new flat felt roofs when I lived in Herringfleet. His work was very neat so I wanted to use him again for my new house in Beccles.
I didn''t like having artificial slates on my roof and wanted to board out the loft and improve the insulation so I asked Robert to come and quote.
I also changed the white upvc guttering for black aluminium cast iron effect to suit the style of the house as it is Victorian.
He was prompt with the quote and explained everything in detail.
He tried to save me money where he could but didn''t cut back on quality as I am fussy about this which I know Robert is too.
When Robert and his team were working at mine they all worked hard and respected our privacy. They were all polite and got on with their job.
My house is a very tall and awkward house to work on but that didn''t seem to bother them.
They also did the slate roof on my new outbuilding in the garden straight after they finished the main roof.
All the work is now complete and I am very pleased.
I am in the building trade myself and know exactly when someone does a good job or not.
I would highly recommend Robert and his team to anyone. It is worth waiting for him if you can as he is busy but that is a good sign!

Replaced a ridge tile blown off by storm Eunice Last year Aldridge Roofing repaired part of my roof which was leaking like a sieve! They did a great job and I’ve had no problems with it since. However, when a ridge tile blew off during the recent storms Aldridge was the first company I approached – and now they’ve replaced it thank goodness.

Repairs to tiled roof following storm damage This is the second time I have employed Aldridge Roofing and I have always found them to be friendly, efficient and effective. I shall have no hesitation in using their services whenever I need roofing done.

Secured the coping stones at the top of the Georgian fascade on a grade II* listed building. Completed stonework renovation and re-pointing, with remediation of soft Suffolk red brick. Completed re-flashing of leadwork.

Gutter repair after storm damage We needed work done quickly after the recent storm and being a holiday chalet it was difficult for us to visit. They were very helpful and understanding, especially as we had used them before on a larger project and was more than happy with their quality of work.

Installation of a 63m2 warm roof for my new annexe and the fitting of roof extractor vents and associated leadwork. Aldridge Roofing recently undertook the installation of a warm roof for my new annexe comprising a converted garage with new extension.

They also fitted two roof extractor vents and the leadwork to seal the connection between the new roof and the existing house.

Stripping off the existing roofing and replace the felt over the roof of the garage and the utility room with added insulation over the utility and timber curb to finish off.

All rubish removed and left clean and tidy.


All went very well.

Removal of old felt all cleared and taken away.

Work carried out on the refelting to the garage/ utility roof with added insulation to the utility room roof. Completed in about 2 and half days.

I asked for some pictures of the roof. And Mr Aldridge sent me some pictures on completion.

I was very happy with the work carried out and would definitely recommened this company.

Removal and replace a small flat roof and facia/guttering. Bird spikes fitted to ridge tiles and chimney pots. Fitted one chimney cowl the scaffolding was put up by a different company but price in. The team worked very hard together, tidy, well mannered, and thoughtful.
The scaffolding company called competitive scaffolding were very quick putting it up and double-checked all bolts etc. Before leaving three men worked together as a team, very polite.

A broken downpipe which was potentially causing damp inside the property

Where the flue from the boiler came through the roof, there was some movement in the tiles, and the lead around the flue needed renewing

Repairs to the small verge Aldridge Roofing was recommended to me by a local Estate Agent. My Dad''s property was on the market but a few things came to light that needed repairing and/or replacing

As I don''t live locally it was reassuring to be told of a reliable, local company who could possibly do the work

Within a couple of days a quote came through giving the various jobs that needed doing, along with photographs, with an itemised quote for each individual job

When I contacted Aldridge Roofing to say I was happy with the qoutes and to please go ahead as soon as possible, although the company was very, very busy, they very kindly squeezed in the work on Dad''s property

Within a couple of days of completion I received the invoice for the completed work, which was exactly the amount I was quoted, and I was more than happy to settle the bill promptly

Throughout the above process, emails were sent to me to keep me up to date on what was happening, which was extremely helpful as I don''t live locally, and any emails I needed to send were replied to quickly, courteously and fully. Michael and James were considerate with parking of vehicles and ensuring the site was kept safe and tidy at all times.

Very sadly i experienced a close bereavement shortly after the work had started and re roofing was suspended for a period of time to ensure i was not disturbed unduly and I was able to say when I was ready for the work to restart.

Michael and James were always polite and professional.

I was kept upto date by Robert with regard to how the work was progressing and this was discussed with me on a regular basis.
