HGS fixed my mum''s boiler and got her heating and hot water working again. I called HGS and explained that my mum had a very old back boiler that had broken down, leaving her with no heating or hot water. An engineer had a look at the system and called to say he thought he could fix it by replacing a part, but if that didn''t work he''d have to replace another part as well. He talked me through all of the costs so that there would be no nasty surprises. In the end the engineer was able to fix the system by replacing just one part and my mum now has heating and hot water.

My Baxi Combi boiler received a new Actuator and PCB/board following an illusive fault code, later it received a replacement water temp adjuster knob assembly for no additional charge. Initially when I called they listened and suggested that I email them a few details to save me an initial call out that I greatly appreciated. The fault code is an ambiguous one but they had the knowledge, experience and foresight to know with some confidence that replacing the PCB would most likely clear the fault code. They recommend replacing the Actuator whilst ''in there'' but it was completely my choice. I was booked in and the repair was completed on the day and the area left spotless. The boiler then was back to running perfectly. Unfortunately the temperature adjustment knob came off, which was no ones fault as the boiler is twelve years old however they inspected the boiler, ordered the necessary parts and installed them promptly and for free.
This is not a level of service I have ever experienced and I can''t recommend them enough. They were recommended to me and I have since recommend them to others. It is daunting using a company for the first time especially when it involves plumbing/heating but they genuinely cared and did everything they promised and then went beyond. They are polite and friendly, hard working and dutiful moreover good communicators who you can trust completely.

Replacement of leaking central heating pipe to radiator. Very helpful and arrived to carryout repair during proposed window on the day. A phone call 15-30 mins before arrival would be an added benefit but was not essential. All in all I would recommend HGS.

Combi Boiler Replacement From my initial phone call to request a quote for a new combi boiler - to installation took 4 working days. Rob and his colleagues couldn’t have done more to accommodate me. The communication throughout was extremely good, although my engineer unfortunately went off sick on the morning of installation, they rearranged things and it went ahead the next day. The engineer Danny who replaced my boiler was very professional, friendly and carried out his work thoroughly and left the area very tidy. The final bill was to estimate, and reasonable. I will certainly be using them from now on.

a problem with a cold water inlet valve in the tank and a resulting airlock very happy with the service and the advice received. Would definitely contact HGS again should we need to.

I contacted HGS to service gas boilers and appliances and provide Landlords Safety Certificates for properties which I own.
They gave me a very favourable quotation which I accepted and carried out everything which I required, including liaising with occupiers to arrange mutually convenient appointments.

replacing a flexi tap connector in the sink I have been using HGS Plumbing and Heating LTD for almost 5 years now. This is for boiler and general plumbing repairs at my property.
The company responds to my calls in a prompt manner. The repair is normally completed within a few days.
I found staff working for HGS to be approachable, very friendly and polite. When they visit your house, they treat it with respect and always leave their work place clean.
They have good working attitude and trying their best to complete the repair with minimal cost to the customer.
If there was something with the repair that I was not fully satisfied, they were always happy to pop in and adjust it according to my request.
I would fully recommend them to my friends and will continue using HGS in the future.

I had leaky taps and a leak into the floor/ceiling. HGS have replaced the leaky taps and replaced worn plastic joints with longer-lived soldered joints. They have been quick, efficient and helpful. Thank you!

Washing machine fitted. Needed a washing machine fitted quickly, was booked in for the following day. Rob was friendly and efficient. The work was completed to a very high standard and the final price was actually less than quoted. Fantastic service, will definitely use again.

Emergency repair to gas installation pipe work I needed a job done urgently and HGS responded quickly and in a professional manner. They were polite and helpful from the outset and the office staff went beyond the call of duty to solve my dilemma. I had caused damage to a customer’s gas pipe during a gardening job I was undertaking. HGS recognised that my reputation was at stake as well as understanding that my customer was vulnerable and needed the repair done asap. They saved my bacon and helped ensure my customer did not suffer any more than necessary. Mike in the office kept me updated with their progress which allowed me to continue working elsewhere. Lifesavers!

Removal of broken kitchen tap and fitting of new Contacted HGS on a Friday morning hoping to get the kitchen tap sorted out same day and my call was answered promptly. They were very helpful and an estimate for the work was provided based on a photo I provided. They said they would do their best to fit the work in that day which they did.

The plumber was polite, efficient and tidy. The actual cost came in under the estimate.

Attend leaking PRV from unvented hot water cylinder
- Recharge air bubble in Heatrae cylinder as required
- Test and leave in good order We discovered a problem with a leaking immersion heater just hours before we were due to go on holiday. HGS were recommended to us and the service was first rate. Both Rob on the phone handling my gabbled explanation of the problem and Matt who arrived withing the hour and got us sorted. Will not hesitate to use them again.

Recommission and power flush for repossessed property with 15 radiators needing to be cleaned. Really happy with the work undertaken by HGS, professional service with hardworking engineers. Would highly recommend.

A full test for water leakage. HGS Plumbing & Heating have serviced my boiler for two years so when I received a letter from the water company ‘suggesting’ I had a water leak and were putting up my charges substantially I phoned Rob at HGS. He sent out Danny the same day and they conducted a full leakage test. No leaks were detected. He then consulted with his office and phoned Anglian Water, with my permission, on speakerphone and got them to explain their letter and their increased charges. They reduced the amount of their direct debit and said that the letter was misleading and if I sent them the invoice they would reimburse me. I could not have done this on my own as I have Acquired Brain Injury. HGS went above and beyond and I am very grateful to them.

- Leave in good order When I had an urgent need to disconnect and make safe a cooker HGS went out of their way to make sure an engineer was on site within 30 mins. Extremely helpful, fast, efficient and friendly service and was all resolved within an hour with easy payment over the phone. Thanks again for making such an effort to respond at such short notice!

Replaced water tank, replaced boiler, new radiators and various inspections We''ve had no end of issues with heating and plumbing which have caused no end of frustration.
