Removal of broken kitchen tap and fitting of new Contacted HGS on a Friday morning hoping to get the kitchen tap sorted out same day and my call was answered promptly. They were very helpful and an estimate for the work was provided based on a photo I provided. They said they would do their best to fit the work in that day which they did.

The plumber was polite, efficient and tidy. The actual cost came in under the estimate.

Attend leaking PRV from unvented hot water cylinder
- Recharge air bubble in Heatrae cylinder as required
- Test and leave in good order We discovered a problem with a leaking immersion heater just hours before we were due to go on holiday. HGS were recommended to us and the service was first rate. Both Rob on the phone handling my gabbled explanation of the problem and Matt who arrived withing the hour and got us sorted. Will not hesitate to use them again.

Recommission and power flush for repossessed property with 15 radiators needing to be cleaned. Really happy with the work undertaken by HGS, professional service with hardworking engineers. Would highly recommend.

A full test for water leakage. HGS Plumbing & Heating have serviced my boiler for two years so when I received a letter from the water company ‘suggesting’ I had a water leak and were putting up my charges substantially I phoned Rob at HGS. He sent out Danny the same day and they conducted a full leakage test. No leaks were detected. He then consulted with his office and phoned Anglian Water, with my permission, on speakerphone and got them to explain their letter and their increased charges. They reduced the amount of their direct debit and said that the letter was misleading and if I sent them the invoice they would reimburse me. I could not have done this on my own as I have Acquired Brain Injury. HGS went above and beyond and I am very grateful to them.

Attend to disconnect gas cooker
- Cap gas supply as requested
- Carry out relevant safety checks and tightness test
- Leave in good order When I had an urgent need to disconnect and make safe a cooker HGS went out of their way to make sure an engineer was on site within 30 mins. Extremely helpful, fast, efficient and friendly service and was all resolved within an hour with easy payment over the phone. Thanks again for making such an effort to respond at such short notice!

Replaced water tank, replaced boiler, new radiators and various inspections We''ve had no end of issues with heating and plumbing which have caused no end of frustration. Rob and the team have solved every issue and given us excellent service with every step. They are prompt and efficient and well worth the 5* recommendation!

This company were called in to install a replacement hot tap in my kitchen. Prior to this the company was unknown to me. I am delighted to report how helpful and supportive everyone was. The task was not straightforward as the manufacturer of the tap sent the wrong item and a delay then ensued. However everyone I dealt with at HGS remained calm and reassuring.

Eventually all turned out well. Matt, the plumber was very polite, diligent and thorough, not leaving until he was certain the new fitting worked properly. Mike, my contact with the office, was unfailingly positive and encouraging. Appointments made were reliably kept and I was always contacted ahead of time to confirm availability.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company, and will certainly use them again myself if/when the need arises.
Finally, I would congratulate Rob Girling (Managing Director)on having a great team working for him.

Boiler repair. As someone that trains customer service for a living I can tell you that HGS provide the best example of customer experience that I have witnessed in a long time. First-rate customer care, extremely friendly and reliable. My boiler broke down leaving me with no hot water or heating. HGS did everything possible to ensure it was up and running again in no time. HGS will certainly get my business in the future. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

I have been trying for a number of weeks to get an issue with a shower pump resolved at my elderly mother’s property. Eventually I turned to Trusted Trader and rang HGS.
I explained the situation to Rob and whilst maintaining my expectations that he may not be able to resolve the situation he nevertheless went to Mother’s the following day.
Fortunately the pump only needed re setting, which Rob was able to deal with, so job done!

Connecting remote thermostat. We''ve used HGS for a number years, both for regular servicing and the odd emergency. Service is always polite, friendly, and efficient. They turn up when they say they are going to. Would recommend.

Boiler installation and power flush Brilliant service and very high standards! A genuine care to ensure we got the best solution, even if it costed less. No hard sell, just excellent customer service and brilliant expectation management on timelines!

Topped up water in boiler and explained how to do this ourselves in future. HGS supplied and fitted our gas combo boiler in 2016 and have maintained it since then. Recently we discovered we had no hot water or heating because the boiler water pressure had fallen after we bled the radiators. We tried to top up the water but could not do it. I phoned HGS at about 5pm, they couldn’t do anything immediately but said they would try to help in the morning. About 9am an engineer arrived and quickly fixed the problem. He also explained what we needed to do if it occurred again. I’m very pleased with the quick and helpful service.

Supply and fit new external expansion vessel to heating system in loft space. Re-pipe safety discharge pipework to comply with current regulations. Carry out service and safety check to Worcester combination boiler as required. Test and leave in full working order.

Electra shower replacement Great guys to deal with - fast efficient- very professional- highly recommended

Replaced siphon in lavatory. Fitted new basin mixer taps, connected water supply & tested all.
Plumbers arrived on time, worked quickly and left no mess. They are friendly and gave good advice and guidance, as I needed to replace old taps and wanted a mixer that fitted where two singles had been removed.

(They also service the boiler annually. I''m very happy with their work)

Remove old combi boiler and supply and fit a new one. Having found my old boiler was uneconomical to repair(12 years old) - HGS advised me on a suitable replacement and discussed fully the various options available to me and answered all questions I had concerning the installation.

I decided on the replacement boiler and asked for work to be carried out. HGS were able to supply the boiler and begin installation the following day, completing the job the morning after.


I was kept informed throughout the whole process; when work would begin, what would be done and the full cost.


The engineer showed up on time, was polite, friendly and efficient. His work was of a high standard, he explained what he was doing and answered my questions. When he had finished he cleaned up and left the area tidy, then explained fully how to use the new boiler and completed the paperwork.


I would be pleased to recommend HGS to anybody needing similar work carried out. Good job - thanks guys!
