Tap fitted on outside wall of house We had a tap fitted on the outside of our house by HGS Plumbing. From start to finish, the communication was excellent. The plumber who came to carry out the work was very friendly and professional. Will definitely use this company again

Bathroom leak from old shower unit. There''s a bit of a stereotype about plumbers... that they keep promising to call, but never show up. But HGS were totally the opposite. They were friendly and helpful on the phone, were concerned to find out how serious my leak was... fixed a time, were there as promised... and were quick, friendly and helpful when they arrived.
They even called back a day later to check everything was OK.
It was. First class!
I found them through the Norfolk County Council Trusted Traders directory, and they deserve to be there.

Emergency repair to gas boiler and refurbishment of lavatory cistern We had a boiler breakdown and leaking cistern during Covid-19 lockdown and it was difficult to find help. HGS agreed to fit us in at short notice. They rang us to let us know when the engineer was coming. He made an inspection and told us what the problems were - he wasn''t able to fix them in that visit.

The office rang us a little while later to explain the cost of the proposed fixes and schedule a further visit the next day. Again they rang us to let us know when he was coming. He carried out both repairs efficiently, after explaining what was going to be done. He was also happy to answer my questions.

I was told the invoice would be emailed to me and it was. The amount was the same as that quoted over the phone.

All in all, this was a very good service.

Fixing the controls on my boiler I was very pleased they could come out quickly and fix the boiler controls, and check the gas fire. We had just moved in, and due to Corona virus was finding it difficult to find someone who could come out to fix the heating system in a reasonable time frame. The worker who came checked the system thoroughly, and reset the system so I could control the boiler. He also checked that the gas fire was working properly and did a smoke test. Unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but arrived on time, and he did the job required. Good service.

Repair and investigation of old boiler. Replace old boiler for new including a system power flush. Replace a radiator. I am a new customer to HGS Plumbing. I was impressed by the time the team took to discuss and explain everything to me. The engineers were professional and the work very thorough. I recommend.

Removed old boiler from kitchen and installed new boiler in upstairs airing cupboard with new gas pipework from meter cupboard to new boiler location. Drained and removed hot water cylinder and water tanks and pipework from loft . Installed new radiator and fixed pipework to old one. Installed new thermostatic shower over bath. Really good service from a very professional company I have used before. Rob gave useful advice and was quick to get me a quote and everyone I spoke to on phone, the surveyor and installer were all friendly and very helpful. The job was completed on time and very pleased with the result. Rob gave me a courtesy call to check I was happy with everything before he sent the invoice. Great service.

Replacement of kitchen boiler, supporting pipework and removal of hot water tank I have no hesitation in highly recommending HGS Plumbing and Heating. They’ve done several domestic plumbing/heating jobs for me over the last few years, most recently in replacing my boiler in early January this year.

Power flushing my radiators and diagnostic work on my boiler and final replacement of the boiler as it sadly could not be repaired.
All the work was completed in good time and the lads cleaned up so well I didn’t even know they had been there.
Once the guys from HGS started the flushing work it was good to be shown what they had managed to clear from the pipes. I could immediately see I d made the right decision to get this done.
Unfortunately my boiler pump was finished after trying to push water through all the sludge so that had to be replaced. It was freezing weather at the time and Rob and Mike made sure the replacement was installed and commissioned within a couple of days and I now have an efficient heating system.
To help with the unexpected cost of the new boiler the company agreed to phased payments over 6 months which has helped massively. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend HGS to anyone in similar circumstances.

HGS fixed my mum''s boiler and got her heating and hot water working again. I called HGS and explained that my mum had a very old back boiler that had broken down, leaving her with no heating or hot water. An engineer had a look at the system and called to say he thought he could fix it by replacing a part, but if that didn''t work he''d have to replace another part as well. He talked me through all of the costs so that there would be no nasty surprises. In the end the engineer was able to fix the system by replacing just one part and my mum now has heating and hot water.

My Baxi Combi boiler received a new Actuator and PCB/board following an illusive fault code, later it received a replacement water temp adjuster knob assembly for no additional charge. Initially when I called they listened and suggested that I email them a few details to save me an initial call out that I greatly appreciated. The fault code is an ambiguous one but they had the knowledge, experience and foresight to know with some confidence that replacing the PCB would most likely clear the fault code. They recommend replacing the Actuator whilst ''in there'' but it was completely my choice. I was booked in and the repair was completed on the day and the area left spotless. The boiler then was back to running perfectly. Unfortunately the temperature adjustment knob came off, which was no ones fault as the boiler is twelve years old however they inspected the boiler, ordered the necessary parts and installed them promptly and for free.
This is not a level of service I have ever experienced and I can''t recommend them enough. They were recommended to me and I have since recommend them to others. It is daunting using a company for the first time especially when it involves plumbing/heating but they genuinely cared and did everything they promised and then went beyond. They are polite and friendly, hard working and dutiful moreover good communicators who you can trust completely.

Replacement of leaking central heating pipe to radiator. Very helpful and arrived to carryout repair during proposed window on the day. A phone call 15-30 mins before arrival would be an added benefit but was not essential. All in all I would recommend HGS.

Combi Boiler Replacement From my initial phone call to request a quote for a new combi boiler - to installation took 4 working days. Rob and his colleagues couldn’t have done more to accommodate me. The communication throughout was extremely good, although my engineer unfortunately went off sick on the morning of installation, they rearranged things and it went ahead the next day. The engineer Danny who replaced my boiler was very professional, friendly and carried out his work thoroughly and left the area very tidy. The final bill was to estimate, and reasonable. I will certainly be using them from now on.

a problem with a cold water inlet valve in the tank and a resulting airlock very happy with the service and the advice received. Would definitely contact HGS again should we need to.

I contacted HGS to service gas boilers and appliances and provide Landlords Safety Certificates for properties which I own.
They gave me a very favourable quotation which I accepted and carried out everything which I required, including liaising with occupiers to arrange mutually convenient appointments.

replacing a flexi tap connector in the sink I have been using HGS Plumbing and Heating LTD for almost 5 years now. This is for boiler and general plumbing repairs at my property.
The company responds to my calls in a prompt manner. The repair is normally completed within a few days.
I found staff working for HGS to be approachable, very friendly and polite. When they visit your house, they treat it with respect and always leave their work place clean.
They have good working attitude and trying their best to complete the repair with minimal cost to the customer.
If there was something with the repair that I was not fully satisfied, they were always happy to pop in and adjust it according to my request.
I would fully recommend them to my friends and will continue using HGS in the future.

I had leaky taps and a leak into the floor/ceiling. HGS have replaced the leaky taps and replaced worn plastic joints with longer-lived soldered joints. They have been quick, efficient and helpful. Thank you!

Washing machine fitted. Needed a washing machine fitted quickly, was booked in for the following day. Rob was friendly and efficient. The work was completed to a very high standard and the final price was actually less than quoted. Fantastic service, will definitely use again.

Emergency repair to gas installation pipe work I needed a job done urgently and HGS responded quickly and in a professional manner. They were polite and helpful from the outset and the office staff went beyond the call of duty to solve my dilemma. I had caused damage to a customer’s gas pipe during a gardening job I was undertaking. HGS recognised that my reputation was at stake as well as understanding that my customer was vulnerable and needed the repair done asap. They saved my bacon and helped ensure my customer did not suffer any more than necessary. Mike in the office kept me updated with their progress which allowed me to continue working elsewhere.
