Canary Guttering

Replace guttering. The work was assessed, a quote given and then carried out in a very efficient and friendly manner.

To provide a quote to replace a line of straight black plastic guttering (no corners or down pipes) approx 15 metres long. A jovial young man (I can't recall his name, it might have been Seamus) turned up at 8.30 one Monday morning. I can't recall WHICH Monday morning this was. It has long since disappeared into the mists of time. Suffice it to say that since his visit, an unlikely football team has won the English Premier League, Terry Wogan has died, the A11 dual carriageway between Thetford and Mildenhall has been completed, a Briton has won Wimbledon, Britain has voted to leave the EU and we''ve had a change of Prime Minister.

Anyway, Seamus (or whatever his name was) duly took out his tape measure, made a few jottings in his notebook and promised to get back to me with an estimate or a quote. He then went on his way to his next job, which was in Great Yarmouth. I can't recall how or why I remember that his next call was in Great Yarmouth, but I suppose when your one and only contact with Canary Guttering is one flying visit and a fleeting exchangs of words, one tends to remember such mind numbingly boring details.

Sadly, I cannot comment (offensively or otherwise) on whether the gutter workmanship was of a reasonable standard, nor whether it was value for money, because my new gutter turned out....quite literally....to be a pipe dream. You see I never heard from Canary Guttering again.

I am happy to recommend Canary Guttering to prospective customers who are looking for an estimator with a colourful van, one who doesn't nick your silver or try to goose your wife when she answers the door in her dressing gown, and really doesn't care if their gutter continues to leak in several places long after their first contact with the firm. So if these are your priorities, Canary Guttering is the business for you.

As for me, I eventually used a firm called Patel & Sons. I thought to myself, I've tried the Cowboys and that didn't work, so I might as well call the Indians.

Repair guttering. Well pleased.

Clearance of debris from top roof gutter, and repair of lower roof gutter to prevent water overflowing. The work was carried out very efficiently and completed within two hours of contacting the company.

Clearing and cleaning guttering. Very satisfied with the service. Everything completed as expected.

Investigated two leaking down pipes. Repaired and secured one and found the problem with the other. The problem with the front down pipe recurred. Mr.Sayer came out the next morning checked the top and bottom of the pipe, run water through the length to ensure the problem was cured. All done with a smile and no charge.

Guttering cleaning. Very efficiently completed.

Clearing blocked downpipe and adjusting position of outlet. Professional friendly service a job well done.

To replace 2 brackets for the gutter at the back of the house.
Move and refit soil pipe bracket. Mr Sayer. Arrived on time, explained what he was he was going to do and did a fantastic job. Highly recommended.

Unblocked guttering to the front of a property. Done a good job and was quick and efficient.

Replacement facia on rear wall. Friendly and efficient service.

Clean gable fascia board at front of the house & remove debris from down pipe. Very pleased with work. Told me when he was coming and was on time.

Replace guttering along the eastern side of our house. The tradesman visited us the day before replacement. He diagnosed the fault and explained how it could be rectified. He charged nothing for his initial visit. He came next day (today 30 March) and did the promised job efficiently successfully and in very quick time. We are very happy with his efforts.
