My Dad has help with his care every other day from Home instead. All the carers that have been provided have been very professional and friendly. I have seen positive improvement with my Dads mood since he has had the carers visiting.
Home instead I would highly recommend if anyone you know needs any help or care at home.

Home Instead Norwich came to provide companionship and personal care to my mum who had moderate dementia. They were just amazing with her and also my dad.
From the initial engagement meeting with my family to providing the necessary care until mum went in to a care home, Home Instead showed compassion, empathy, understanding and care to all members of my family. No one ever judged our situation.

The care givers were picked so they had things in common with mum from the start. As time progressed and mum needed more help, including personal care, Home Instead ensured mum had continuity of care from the same people. This avoided the need for new people to be introduced which would have distressed my mum.
The care givers were also very supportive of my dad and his situation of being full time carer.

A few months ago, we decided to approach Home Instead again, this time for my dad. Once again, Home Instead showed the same compassion, empathy, understanding towards us.

Getting in and out of bed, washing/showering. Assistance with dressing. Some food preparation. The carers have all been, kind, caring and understanding of an elderly person's needs. The Norwich franchise has an exceptional customer liaison officer in Sam Green, who has been a pleasure to work with. The Norwich office has been flexible in amending my mother's care plan according to her changes in health and holidays. I can recommend this company's Norwich team to anyone with an elderly friend or relative. We are all, as a family, very pleased with their service.

Help with cleaning and practical tasks. I am giving this feedback on behalf of my parents, who have now moved to a care home.

We’ve been impressed with all aspects of the service from Home Instead. My mother’s dementia meant that she has been hostile to the idea of help in the house and resisted professional visitors. It was therefore helpful that the initial consultation- which was informative and reassuring – took place in a neutral and informal location away from the difficult circumstances at home.

Our caregiver, Linda Munday, was a perfect fit for the needs and personalities of my parents. At her first visit, when my mother was initially difficult and hostile, she remained calm, friendly and professional throughout, and also able to chat in a way that my parents could relate to. By the end of that visit, my mother had fully accepted Linda and continued to do so. Linda’s visits provided both practical help and social support- her chats with my father gave him a welcome opportunity for a more normal conversation.

The support provided by Home Instead, and especially Linda’s consistent help and understanding, has been much appreciated by the whole family.

Wash, feed, keep tidy. Excellent, no problems at all, help is deeply appreciated.

One hour a day everyday, 08:30 - 09:30. I am fortunate in that I am still mobile and have my mental abilities at this time. (Sept.2015).

Provides Companionship's Visit moving in nursing home 1 hr daily (Mon-Friday) Escorts manage to hospital appointments. Excellent service from Carers and office staff.

Provides companionship's. 2 ½ days a week either by staying at home or going for a drive. Works very well. Very happy with service provided by Carer and office staff.

Showering, Dressing, Undressing. For another thousand a month I could receive full time care in a home instead of twice a day.

Carers excellent, but office staff unreliable bill needs checking.

Very expensive and hours charged not necessarily hours worked.

Mainly cleaning I had hoped, but unfortunately I have been unwell recently which has changed things a little! I live in a beautiful conservation area therefore no public transport. A recent stroke has forced me to give up my car which has made life very difficult after having a licenses for sixty year! My girl will drive me but as yet,I haven't taken up her offer!

Help with general housework, watering plants, disposal of rubbish etc. Laundry roping fixing items when needed. I have none others than satisfaction.

Personal care and days out. Also domestic support. Would not be able to go out without their assistance with the wheelchair.

Housework, making meals, companionship, taking to shops. I have answered the questions on behalf of my mother. I have power of attorney to make decisions and judgments for her as she is no longer capable of doing this for herself. She is happy with the people who care for her. Christine Miker.

One hour a day. Sorting washing, dishwasher cleaning, hygiene. Excellent service.

Personal care. Excellent company – especially with elderly folk suffering from dementia – you are the best we have ever used. You did absolute best for my dad – he has now gone into care but you were excellent & very understanding of dementia.

Morning. Home help, breakfast etc. Midday. Home help & lunch. Evening. Locks up everywhere we have a chat & sees me to bed.

One hour a week to help bath.

Nicky is invaluable – she is caring, kind and helpful in every way. When Nicky is on holiday the helpers we have had have also been kind & caring but of course we feel someone who knows us & the house is better.
