Getting in and out of bed, washing/showering. Assistance with dressing. Some food preparation. The carers have all been, kind, caring and understanding of an elderly person's needs. The Norwich franchise has an exceptional customer liaison officer in Sam Green, who has been a pleasure to work with. The Norwich office has been flexible in amending my mother's care plan according to her changes in health and holidays. I can recommend this company's Norwich team to anyone with an elderly friend or relative. We are all, as a family, very pleased with their service.

Help with cleaning and practical tasks. I am giving this feedback on behalf of my parents, who have now moved to a care home.

We’ve been impressed with all aspects of the service from Home Instead. My mother’s dementia meant that she has been hostile to the idea of help in the house and resisted professional visitors. It was therefore helpful that the initial consultation- which was informative and reassuring – took place in a neutral and informal location away from the difficult circumstances at home.

Our caregiver, Linda Munday, was a perfect fit for the needs and personalities of my parents. At her first visit, when my mother was initially difficult and hostile, she remained calm, friendly and professional throughout, and also able to chat in a way that my parents could relate to. By the end of that visit, my mother had fully accepted Linda and continued to do so. Linda’s visits provided both practical help and social support- her chats with my father gave him a welcome opportunity for a more normal conversation.

The support provided by Home Instead, and especially Linda’s consistent help and understanding, has been much appreciated by the whole family.

Wash, feed, keep tidy. Excellent, no problems at all, help is deeply appreciated.

One hour a day everyday, 08:30 - 09:30. I am fortunate in that I am still mobile and have my mental abilities at this time. (Sept.2015).

Provides Companionship's Visit moving in nursing home 1 hr daily (Mon-Friday) Escorts manage to hospital appointments. Excellent service from Carers and office staff.

Mainly cleaning I had hoped, but unfortunately I have been unwell recently which has changed things a little! I live in a beautiful conservation area therefore no public transport. A recent stroke has forced me to give up my car which has made life very difficult after having a licenses for sixty year! My girl will drive me but as yet,I haven't taken up her offer!

Help with general housework, watering plants, disposal of rubbish etc. Laundry roping fixing items when needed. I have none others than satisfaction.

Personal care and days out. Also domestic support. Would not be able to go out without their assistance with the wheelchair.

Housework, making meals, companionship, taking to shops. I have answered the questions on behalf of my mother. I have power of attorney to make decisions and judgments for her as she is no longer capable of doing this for herself. She is happy with the people who care for her. Christine Miker.

Personal care. Excellent company – especially with elderly folk suffering from dementia – you are the best we have ever used. You did absolute best for my dad – he has now gone into care but you were excellent & very understanding of dementia.

Morning. Home help, breakfast etc. Midday. Home help & lunch. Evening. Locks up everywhere we have a chat & sees me to bed.

One hour a week to help bath.

Nicky is invaluable – she is caring, kind and helpful in every way. When Nicky is on holiday the helpers we have had have also been kind & caring but of course we feel someone who knows us & the house is better.

Companionship Very good service from Wendy.

The support I receive ... Five (1hr) evening visits and five (2hr) morning visits for cooking, cleaning and general checking up on me (!) each week. Other visitors vary at weekends through family and professional contacts. My wife (age 81) of 58 years has been in a Dementia unit for over 5 years with Alzheimers where they look after her far better than I can. This service is clearly very expensive but also very reassuring to my remaining daughter who lives some 30 miles away. The public outcry (sometimes justified) which occurs every now and then is often accompanied by tales of monkeys and peanuts by people who think you can do this sort of work for money!!

8-9 am help with washing, dressing, breakfast. Lunar prepared, elastic stockings, eye drops. I am very satisfied with my carers who have become good friends and are a real help to me. I have recommended Home Instead to three friends who are now receiving their care.

Washing, cleaning, shopping for my mother who has Alzheimer’s. Home Instead have consistent carers who really take care & time with mother. I am totally confident in their service.

Carers are very supportive & reassuring when things go wrong – when I was invaded by wretched flying ants in my kitchen excellent help was provided. All much appreciated. After various operations I have had help from first support.

Help to manage daily life after a stroke. Help with shower, getting to appointments, making phone calls. Legal and support for exercise and practice. The help I received is of a very high standard. I know I can rely on my carer and trust her to look after my interests. She is reliable and a good companion.

They are all very kind and always put my mind at rest if I have any worries (especially my bread order when it doesn’t come!) they go that extra mile to help me and I am very grateful.

It is mainly house chores because I cannot “reach high or “crawl low” and get tired quickly!!!

Very good. I also have Jane Ward and Smith Michaela. At weekends and on Tuesdays, As I have told you before. I wished you did so minutes in evening. I have to use another company then not so good.

Domestic Reliable and consistant.

For 2 hours per week personal care- with shower & lotion on my back (for a cute invitation) Both carers and katerina dining Wendy’s holiday have been matched to understand my rare water already. During my tour they assist with household tasks. It is amazing how much support I received from each of them. I am now 88 and this is a new and valuable experience.

Is very good.

Gave support housekeeping for my dementia suffering mother. Competent, efficient and kind. We have no issues at all as we are new to the services. They appear to know their job!

Person care – help with showering – washing on time – for 2 hours each week. I am now age 88 - & this may increase as needed. Same caretaker* each week. I pay per hour by monthly DD. It is excellent – just what I need at present. Well supervised – excellent time keeping. Carers well-chosen, trained & supervised worth the cost – currently approx. £20 per hour. I was “matched” with both my carers.

Carers - who give my mother breakfast and lunch, check she has taken her tablets, wash up, tidy and keep her company. They take an interest in her and chat with her. The carers are fantastic! They give a unique, personal service which my mother enjoys and which gives me peace of mind.

Care at home for elderly person. Excellent service, kind, efficient and professional.

Assistance to attend a clinic appointment. Home Instead organized for sue to take me to my clinic appointment at a time my daughter, granddaughter were unable to. I was very pleased as I did not have to cancel the appointment.

Help with washing and dressing. Preparing breakfast and lunch. Supervising medication, emotional support and companionship. I can not fault the care my father received. He is treated with dignity and compassion at all times. He is always introduced to carers, who always arrived promptly. They always listen to him and encourage independence as appropriate.

Medication to be taken, personal care, building relationship or trust, meal provision. Very dementia friendly & staff trained to understand the effects it can have on families. Already managing to get dad shaved when previous care agencies couldn't. Very good contact & interaction too.

Washing up, laundry, cleaning, hoovering, making beds, ironing and anything that needs sorting. Making sure there is hot drink on hand. I don't know how I managed before Judy came to me. She is always on time and very bright & happy which makes me feel happy too.

Home care help with personal hygiene and meals to prepare, three times a day. Help with general light household duties. Also administer my daily medication. I have been having Home Instead for approx 4 wks. I feel happy with the service so far. The carers are usually prompt on times and helpful to me, I feel quite relaxed with them around me and help with shavering etc.

Company (VIP to me). Cups of coffee/tea! Long chats (mainly current affairs)! The service I receive is wonderful! Thankyou.

1 hour morning care 8-9 (5 x a week). 3 hrs (lunch time care), 1 hr x 3 a week. Morning support with washing, dressing, medication & breakfast. Simple cleaning tasks in bathroom. Lunch time meal organized, social interaction. Home instead is the 3rd care company involved in care of my mother. We are delighted with their thoroughness attention to detail and care. Their personal approach adds to their ensuring they have the best fit possible. They are always easy to contact, ready to listen and adapt or adjust. The care plan if we feel it is necessary.

Help with showering & dressing in the morning. We are very happy with the service we receive.

I mainly have 2 care givers for three hours twice a week that is one at a time for companionship for my husband, which usually entails a walk and some reading and chat. Very organised and prompt with arrival and departure. All of the care givers we have had, have been of a very good standard and seemed devoted to their tasks. Plenty of follow up from the office.

All my shopping, hoovering, sheet changing and showering. In all ways the service is excellent.

Personal care, washing hard areas to reach on my body. Changing my bedding. Removing rubbish and kitchen waste. Preparing the laundry. Shopping. Any task I can’t manage. Confident that someone will come on time. That jobs will be done by a competent helper.

Personal service After spending 4 months in hospital it was clear that I and my wife would need support. But who to turn to?

Moving in to the unknown we contacted Home Instead Service Care in February 2012. We were impressed by their professional approach.

4 months on my wife and I are extremely pleased with our choice. The company is very professional in all its dealings with us. The carers are excellent, ready and willing to make our lives more comfortable. We would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead Service Care.

One 4 hour companionship call per week. Looking to extend the times. Mother has Alzheimer’s and care giver has befriended her and they got on well. Very good. Prompt, sympathetic caregiver. Affable, interacts with family well.

Housework, take me shopping, companionship. It’s very good excellent service. My caregiver is friendly, nice and hard working. Always on time smartly dressed and does anything I ask her. She is a very good cleaner, I enjoy going out with her, she is always cheerful.

2 hours per week cleaning, dusting and hoovering. Pretty good. 9.9 out of 10! Very satisfactory. Regular care given since June 2011.

Cleaning bathroom, kitchen, two bedrooms and lounge, also vacuuming carpets and keeping an eye on my wife if I have to pop out. Very good, helpful and cheerful. Couldn’t be better.

Cleaning my flat for 2 hours per week. In quite satisfied with the service. I have a regular care. Giver and we have a chat before she gets to work. We get on well and she arrives promptly.

Three mornings every week I have. Somebody help me to have a shower Mon, Wed, Friday. There is so much that I can manage for myself. The lady is always on time & works for 11am - 12am. I’ve found her quite hard to say very much about every day happenings & is very quiet.

On returning home after a long stay in hospital I and my family felt I needed some support in place, to assist with getting up in the morning housework, shopping etc and peace of mind and companionship. This has been for 7 days a week, 4 hrs a day. The service I receive is first class and all of the carers that come are very caring & friendly, and they endeavour to send the same person regularly and have done since they started, I always know who is coming. The companionship they offer as part of the pack & as well as the personal & home help is wonderful.

Housework and companionship weekly. My caregiver goes with me on some lovely walks. I can see improvements in my home and now have time to spend in the garden because my housework is done.

General services around the house following my discharge from hospital after an operation. House work, some food preparation, general help. No personal care needed. Good. The service complied with my requirements, which were willingly complied with.

Two mornings a week you assist by dressing and washing my wife. In any time left you help with ironing or vacuuming. Your assistance is valued and eases the load on me as a carer. Quite happy

This group of people provide daily care for my elderly mother. So that she can be independent for as long as possible in her home. My mother is content and is getting on well with her carers. At this time in her life, its difficult to always recognise when help is needed. The staff have been most helpful to our family.

The service that Home Instead provides for me is personal care, which includes help with washing myself, showering, washing my hair and getting dressed. I also get general help with preparing my meals, cleaning, general help with things like putting the bin out and tidying cupboards. My carer also spends time chatting with me. She also makes my bed. She planted some seeds for me. I think the service is excellent. The carers are such nice, kind, helpful people to have in my house. They are just so kind and helpful. I trust them completely and they are always reliable. If they are worried about me, Home Instead ring my daughter immediately. I really feel cared for. I feel like they make time for me. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone.

"Home Help" has helped me recover from a recent traumatic illness. She has proved to be a very caring and able helper. She quickly worked out a routine and is an extremely important person to me. I cannot praise her enough. This was the first time I needed help in the home and have not felt any problem with the help and service I have received.

Companionship for David. Taking out for coffee or drive chatting & discussing interests. Excellent.

General help with domestic chores following surgery and husbands ongoing "minor" incapacity. very good and a great relief.

Carer walks dog 1 hour twice a week as hurt my ankle. Been grateful to get him out. Good match. The dog really likes the care giver.

My wife, 86 is reluctant to help herself, depressed, on medication. These ladies would get her up at 8 am, see her showered & dressed, do some house cleaning, washing up, offering conversation (which wife did not want). Punctual, effective, briskly done. Excellent service but horrendously expensive.

A care giver provides support for my elderly mother to help her with her weekly shopping. Very satisfied, it is helpful to know that my mother has someone to help her & the help is reliable & regular & caring.

This was the first time we as a family booked a "carer" for great. We were all apprehensive but need not have worried as she was matched up with a lady she got an well with. We were also able to relax while on holiday for the first time in years. Speaking on behalf of the family we were impressed by the service right from "assessment" interview and we would have no hesitation on booking again.

Personal care Grateful and happy. (As I am not as unwell as anticipated, the professional came has not been fully tested, but I am sure it would be 'prompt and professional' to '10' value).

My mother has daily help to prepare her lunch and put out some supper. The carer also waters her plants inside and out and keeps the kitchen clean & tidy. Very pleased with standard of care and attention my mother has received. The company have been supportive and amenable to care for my mother when she came out of hospital.

Personal care for wife, to get up in the morning and assist to bed at night. Business meets all my expectations and Betty enjoys their visits and tender care.

Anything we need, at present, help with washing & dressing & getting breakfast washing up etc. In process of extending care to provide for cleaning etc. Excellent, cannot fault it. Particularly pleased to have regular carer & regular time.

We have 3 lovely lady care gives for my elderly parents. They work a lot Monday-Friday, 2 hours each day. They cook, clean and will cope with anything non-medical although, if it ever becomes necessary. Home instead will also cover this. Will gladly allow my tel no. to be given out to anyone who is seriously considering home care. The service is par excellence. It is such a joy to see my Mum and Dad so content & happy. Mum is blind & Dad is totally immobile. As I am not well myself so cant do care for my parents. I now have such complete confidence in these caregivers. They treat Mum & Dad as I would & with respect, love, understanding & patience. Nothing is too much trouble and all is achieved with a lovely smile. God bless them!

Personal care following hip operation. Extremely pleased with the service. It’s exactly what I required and well worth the cost. Very satisfactory.

My carer looses no time, before getting on with her house work; she is a very caring & respectful lady who takes pride in her work.
