(Nothing to do with them) and he thought looked very professionally installed. He took their details for him to look at an installation.

To replace high energy light fittings with cost effective LED items The initial request for the work was made back in February 2017. The company was recommended by Tesla UK, so I thought they would be a great company to deal with.

I imagined swapping out some light fittings would be a fairly simple task. I was originally informed the job would take a couple of weeks and some special items and fittings needed to be ordered, which was fair enough.

The job was started on schedule. Early March I received an e-mail saying the switches were not compatible with the new LED light fittings and need replacing, therefore it would cost another 1''762.00 to change the switches and switch face plates. Please bear in mind, the total cost for changing to from normal light fittings to LED was now 6''800.00 incl VAT.

From March onward what I thought was a simple job turned into a nightmare. The electrician ordered the wrong parts more than 10 times and the job which should have taken 2 weeks, was not finished until the end of May, over 3 months! This was a great inconvenience to my elderly parents who live at the address. They were unable to plan their weeks as the electrician turned up pretty much when he felt like it; only to then find he didn''t have the right parts to complete the job and went away again! It went on like this for three months!

I returned home in June for my summer vacation and was dismayed at the condition of the workmanship carried out by Green Home. I found that many of the light fittings had been removed with a screwdriver and the plaster on the ceiling had holes and the paint was badly damaged. I then had to put some boxes into the loft and was shocked at the conditions the loft had been left in! The walkway had been ripped up and not refitted leaving the beams exposed. The loft insulation has been ripped up and left in big heaps in the loft.

The Managing Director came to visit and said he would arrange somebody to come an rectify the damages. He did not seem too phased, I got the impression it was something he was used to seeing. I waited a further two weeks and still no feedback or date when the repairs would be undertaken. I ended up mailing them again to find out when the repairs could be done.

They are without doubt the least professional company I have had the displeasure to employ.

I advise all potential customers to stay as far away from Green Home as possible. There are many more reputable companies you could employ who charge much more respectable prices.
