Replacing heating oil tank.
Making concrete base, fitting new plastic tank, running oil line to the house and removing the old tank. We used this company because of a recommendation from the heating engineers. The quotation was reasonable, and the work was carried out on the agreed day. However we afterwards discovered that the pipeline had not been buried to the agreed depth, nor had it been laid on sand, nor was there any warning tape placed over the pipe.
The firm did then come back and re-do the work to the correct specification but we are left convinced that they never had any intention of doing this work as agreed and that it was only because we happened to accidentally hit the pipe that we discovered the problem.
Despite lengthy negotiations with the company we have not received any satisfactory apology or explanation for their attempt to get away with a sub-standard job.
