I had a repair carried out on my roof - Richard was quick to reply, reasonable quote with no un necessary added costs, pleasant and professional - very pleased with work carried out and no issues since - I felt he was trustworthy and did not over quote or carry out unneeded works - Photos provided of before and after so I could see what repairs had been carried out - would recommend for any roofing issues

First class work. A new lead roof to bow windows and new flashing around chimney. Very neat work and Richard is clearly a very skilled craftsman. Would definitely recommend.

The lead flashing around my chimneystack, where it enters the roof, had deteriorated causing rain water to enter the house. It required replacement. Following a recommendation from my neighbour I contacted Richard Waterfield. On inspection and in doing the work he found several other problems with leadwork and felting in the roof and under the tiles. He quoted me for the further work required and I found the additional cost reasonable. He then completed the extended job.

I mounted the scaffolding to view the work at close hand and, as far as I am able to judge, it was first class and completely to my satisfaction. Richard Waterfield is easy to get on with and clearly very knowledgeable about his craft. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to any one requiring work in the areas in which Richard is clearly a specialist.

We had a slipped roof tile. Richard responded very quickly to my enquiry, and came out on the same day.
He refitted the slipped tile, and while on the roof also noticed other defects (cracked lead etc) so set about patching these up.
He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. I am very happy with the work, and will certainly be calling Richard again in future for our roof needs, and would highly recommend him.

Richard answered my call and turned up to estimate the work as agreed. He promptly fitted in the work and worked hard all day.

Everything was first class. Service, quality of work done, speed. It was only a quick repair job to our garage roof but Richard came out the day after I called and did the job within 2 hours. If I could give 6 stars I would!

Came out very promptly and investigated the problem straightaway. No messing about and all very straightforward. A missing roof tile was replaced and repair done to the batten underneath to prevent it happening again. I thought Richard was very straight talking, hard working and skilled and it was a very fair price. Thank you.

I had a leak of rain water due to some damage to roof felt. Richard responded quickly, identified the problem and gave a good quote. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Richard was polite and friendly and the work was of a high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

My house is 70+ years old and the roof has given me problems off and on during the 35 years I have lived here. I had a recurring leak at the front of the property associated with a disused chimney and two 'valleys' which caused minor but annoying ingress of water over my bedroom. Having heard of good things about Richard I decided to offer him the job.

Richard is a perfectionist. Everything he did was planned in detail, we were kept fully informed throughout. The work appears excellent, well above expectations. Site was left spotless. Time scales were met at each stage. Estimate was spot on. I can think of nothing that was not first class.

Importantly Richard is a lovely man and a pleasure to work with.

various Timber work. The lead firm was recommended by our roofer Peter. We had spent a few days on holiday looking up at donner windows and decided that lead gave the best long term finish. The 3 generation of the same family came and leaded are dormers and completed are vallies. People stop us asking who did the windows and the lead work. We were happy to have a sign up on our harding the window ques has.

To renew lead valley:
Remove existing tiles in valley
Replace old lead with new
Re tile in roof valley
Clear away site. Lead valley leaking.
Assessment made of work included, which was then carried out efficiently.
Richard organised Scaffolding and Tiler. He has a quiet confidence and a "can do" attitude.

Investigate suspected leak, which proved to be condensation running down cold water pipe, but found an unfixed tile which had slipped, and fixed that. Also pointed out rotted roofing felt which has now been fixed by another tradesman. Richard came when arranged, did the work quickly and efficiently, was friendly and helpful. Discovered a loose tile and fixed that on the spot. Recommended another trader to replace rotted felt.
We were very pleased with the service and wouldn''t hesitate to recommend Richard.

Richard came to investigate a small leak of rainwater round an air-vent in our roof. In the event, this wasn''t a major piece of work. But it did involve going onto the roof to apply some sealant round the air-vent (under the tiles). Clearly not something for the amateur DIY enthusiast to attempt.
Richard was prompt, polite and professional. He took time to investigate the problem - including going onto the roof to check the tiles and into the attic to check the under-felt.

He gave me a clear explanation of the possible problem and the potential costs before doing any work.

It rained last night and there was no sign of a leak - job done - thank you Richard. I would definitely use him again for any roofing work.

Re-tiling. Richard was friendly and professional. The job was completed to a very high standard and I felt safe allowing him access to my house. I would have no hesitation recommending his services to friends and family.

Load step flatting. Many thanks for the excellent work of replacing the lead flashing and repointing, also for noticing a couple of damaged/badly fitted tiles and replacing them. Richard is very professional and polite, so too were the scaffold team he used (OGD Scaffolding Ltd). Everywhere left clean and tidy afterwards, very happy to recommend.

Hard work as in quote. Superb workmanship, will definitely use again for further work required.
