I was seeking to upgrade my household electrics to facilitate a future install of an electric vehicle charging point and install air conditioning.

Within 24 hours of contacting D.Carter Electrical Ltd a survey visit was arranged to take a look and discuss my requirements. I was sure I would need a new consumer unit as my current one was totally full and over 25 years old. The survey went well and I felt at ease with the assessment. David is very polite, likeable and speaks plainly.

The works agreed was to install a new (Crabtree) consumer unit and 2 fused spurs to supply air conditioning.

On the day of the works David arrived punctual and commenced work straight away. He had to adjust my cabinet which houses the consumer unit, this was neatly done. He worked very neatly and carried out the works as agreed. Whilst installing the new consumer unit a fault was identified on my lighting circuit, he swiftly identified the problem and then provided a solution, rectifying the fault.

The fused spurs were installed on the outside of the property, and David drilled through my walls accurately and with no mess or damage.

David completed all certification and notifications required.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish, very thorough, exceptionally tidy and I would not hesitate to use D.Carter Electrical Ltd in the future

We recently had several electrical jobs completed at my parents’ bungalow, including installing a garden floodlight, loft light, garage light, outdoor socket, garage double socket, a new wired smoke alarm, and putting up a light fitting.

From start to finish, the service was excellent. Everything was completed to a very high standard, with great attention to detail, and the work was left clean and tidy. He was punctual, friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly.

I found out to my cost that there are some less than reliable electricans around. Dave definetly isn't one of them. Everything was done to a high standard to the price he quoted with excellent communication all round. I would recommend D Carter electrical to anyone and i will definetly use Dave again for any future works.

Can't fault David. He came round later the same day as phoned, did four different jobs (inc. removing old electric shower and fixing a retro light fitting) within the hour and even came back two days later to sort something else. All for a reasonable price too. Highly recommend.
