A&R completed many tasks to turn a small kitchen and neighbouring small living room into a family space, then creating a storage and laundry area from an old car port. The team arrived each morning at 7.30am, and before I left for work I was updated with information on the tasks they expected to do that day. I felt fully informed throughout the job which was split into 2 parts. They worked indoors taking a wall down, bricking up a doorway re-plastering and making good. Of course there was dust, but not as much mess as I had anticipated. They contained the mess and respected my home. The second task was to transform a pretty ramshackle garage into a secure storage area with a new window and door. I am really pleased with the results and with the respect that A&R Construction showed to us throughout. I would definitely recommend Adrian and his team.

Removal and reinstallation of new kitchen and bathrooms. Removal of structural internal wall. Opening up of fireplace and replacement of hearth. Electrical/plastering/plumbing works. Work was carried out to a high standard with minimal disruption.

To build a single storey extension at the rear of the property with a vaulted ceiling and velux window including a cloak room and utility room. Adrian & his team were excellent. They were on site early everyday working hard! They were tidy and tried to keep disruption to a minimum as I was still living on site. The quality of work was high and if I wanted something changed it wasn’t a problem. A very friendly team and would recommend them to friends and family.

Convert a small room into nursery toilet and double sink, install outside tap. Provide a wooden covered area, astroturf the space underneath, fence around the outside, including 2 gated access point. Construct an internal gate. Painting a classroom. Adrian and his team were fantastic. I am very selective and over cautious when it comes to builders and contractors, but I needn''t have worried. They were great, excellent communication, super workmanship and very reasonably priced. We''ll be asking them back for other works as and when they come along.

To carry out repairs, to include laying flooring, paint work - fitting 2 showers general maintenance. Work was carried out promptly & to a very high standard. Workmen were very polite & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would use them again. Very very pleased with everything. Thank you for making it all very easy.

Fitting new kitchen including gutting & making good old kitchen. Adrian & Mark were really friendly & professional right from the start. Nothing was too much & they answered all my questions & were very accommodating of any requests or changes. When another company accidentally damaged something-Adrian fixed it himself with no fuss & at no extra cost. Our new kitchen is beautiful & would have them back for more work.

Two - storey extension - building work comprising walls, roof, internal fit out, co-ordination of services and scaffolding. A&R Construction have recently completed a house extension where my client has been very happy with the quality of their work. This was achieved within budget and timescale. On this particular project Adrian offered ideas through the build to improve the project for the client. His innovation and knowledge of current costs and services mean''t additional floor space was utilised within an existing roof space at minimal cost. I have worked with Adrian on previous projects and client feedback has always been very positive.

Knock through wall between wc and bathroom to create a larger room, fit bathroom suite and panelling, fit kitchen worktop; lay paving and erect fencing outside. Adrian was really easy to work with - from when he came to give a quote to completing the work his professional and friendly manner gave me confidence that the job would be done properly. I was not living at the property but both he and his colleague got on with the work perfectly well without me being there all the time, which made things very easy for me. When there was a small leak in the pipework needing fixing a few weeks after the work was done, Adrian returned to sort it out really quickly after I contacted him, which I really appreciated. Little snags like that are almost inevitable on building projects, and it can be quite difficult to get builders to come back and correct them when the job is finished and they have been paid - but I had no such problems here. Really good service all round.

Re-directing guttering and capping off unused drain. Adrian visited to assess the work and provide a quotation. The solution he came up with was excellent and the works ended up costing less than I was dreading!

Hand rails up a long flight of outside steps, finished in black paint. Also helped with a minor plumbing repair free of charge and cheerfully following poor workmanship from someone else. I found A&R Construction to be very professional, punctual, reliable in communicating, friendly and helpful (and very well mannered, which sounds old fashioned but it is a really nice attribute generally in short supply!). It is the first time I used them having looked for a while for someone to do this work. It''s such a relief to know the business is there as it can be hard to find a reliable firm giving a quality service of this kind. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them highly.

Very accurate & detailed quotation given. Excellent organisational skills, great timings. No problem too great to overcome. Very friendly team of professionals used, left areas clear & tidy so we could live along side without too much disruption. Admirable work ethic. Very little stress!!

Re-routing some drains This was only a small, but for us an essential job, but it was given the same attention one might have expected a much more profitable job to have had.

Adrian and his colleague were both hard working, efficient and tidy. The work was done a week or so ahead of schedule and the invoice was exactly the same as the quote.

Sean completed the work, quiet and efficient and kept me informed of progress.

Installing new drainage system for en-suite bathroom. Excellent work and customer service from start to finish. Provided good advice and did a small extra job or us while digging. Area left clean and tidy and all unwanted materials/garden waste was taken away. Would thoroughly recommend this company.
