Extensive repairs carried out on a 'new to me', second hand vehicle purchased from a dealer after my car was involved in a hit and run incident whilst parked up overnight which resulted in it being deemed not economically viable to repair.
For peace of mind, I took my newly purchased car to be checked over by my local mechanic who advised the car was not roadworthy, the main issues being brakes that were so badly worn all round, it would not pass an MOT and a significant oil leak.
Upon approaching the dealer I bought the car from about this I was informed I would have to submit a full diagnostic report (something confirmed by the Citizen's Advice Bureau in relation to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as I had initially requested a full refund).
Having not been in this situation before, I googled for local diagnostic garages and came across Carl Wigg Autoservices and spoke with April Wigg.
April was extremely concerned when I relayed my story, and she discovered the car had had advisories for the brakes for the previous two MOTs! I was genuinely outraged that the other, large company could be selling vehicles that are not roadworthy. Furthermore, this was not the first time she had encountered this situation involving the other dealer and so she offered to take this upon herself to try to sort for me as she had a contact whom she could approach.
I was so appreciative, it was such a relief to have someone who I could discuss these issues with, and who listened. Furthermore, April acknowledged the injustice that I was experiencing and genuinely wanted to help.
April liaised with the other dealer and organised for them to undertake the extensive repairs, without me having to get involved which was a massive relief for me. Despite being fully booked up, the whole team at Carl Wigg Autoservices ensured my repairs were swiftly dealt with to ease further inconvenience.

I shall be recommending them to everyone and will be using them from now on. CarlWigg Autoservices has gone above and beyond hehlping me with my car i bought faulty from a dealership, From initial contact they have offered great advice on dealing with not only the fault with the car, but the dealer i bought the car from.

My fight with the original dealer continues now even 6 months after the purchase, my last visit to CarlWigg i booked in for diagnostics for further evidence to my claim of the same fault reocurring, not only did they not accept any payment for this they also wrote me a report stating the fault is the same as they saw 4 months ago to help strenghten my case.
