I am delighted with the standard of care provided over a number of years now. They make every effort to give the right support, depending on what is needed for each visit. This means listening and getting to know what I would like to do, whether trips out to the library or café, or just sorting our my wardrobe. I very much appreciate the care and attention, which is always kind and professional. It has made a huge difference, allowing me to stay in my own home and enjoy life!

I have been a client of Support in Hand for a number of years and have found the service consistently good. For the majority of the time I have the same member of staff coming to my home. She is always on time, is reliable and dependable. Her work is consistently good. I am comfortable with her in my home and I trust her. She is pleasant and obliging.

We cannot be more grateful to Jo and her staff. As a daughter living in the USA, Jo has stepped in and been there for my elderly Dad when he took a downturn in health and lost his ability to drive. They go above and beyond their required work scope, always putting my Dad's needs over their schedule. You can pay someone to work but you cannot pay someone to care. With Jo and her team, the "care" is part of who they are.

Support in Hand provide a domestic household cleaning service for my elderly dad, sending a cleaner around every two weeks to do a very thorough job. Dad is always very impressed with the service provided, and finds his cleaner (Alison) to be very professional, very friendly and good company. She is always on top of the cleaning supplies, giving ample warning when stocks run low and allowing plenty of time to get these replaced. Where unavoidable events such as illness have prevented a scheduled visit, these have always been promptly rescheduled. We are all very grateful for the excellent service that Support in Hand provide for my dad, and would heartily recommend their services to anybody in need of them.

Support in Hand have been providing cleaning and laundry services for my 95-year-old father for about 5 years, with sessions increasing as he got older. As I live 100+ miles away, they have also been very good at feeding back on occasional problems, including falls. Most recently he has become much more frail and they were invaluable in making extra brief visits, including at weekends, to check on him until we could get daily carers arranged. To their credit, once this was in place, they advised that their regular sessions could probably be reduced as the carers were also doing some basic cleaning. Very pleased and would recommend.

My main helper is Alison and she couldn't be better. Friendly, highly diligent, flexible, sensitive and discreet, she goes above and beyond with practical work, support and communication. On the odd occasion when she is not available and replacements are offered, they have been friendly and helpful.

Work done is 2 hours every 2 weeks. This is general domestic cleaning including main bedroom, en suite, bathroom, hall stairs and landing down stairs toilet and kitchen/ dining room.
The lady who carries out the work is very pleasant and trust worthy, she is always on time and carries out the work efficiently. It is easy to talk with her about any changes needed. She keeps me informed if there are any changes in her calendar in which case the company covers . I have not been let down in all the time I have used this service and would recommend to any prospective client.

The support I receive is either to take me to do my weekly shopping or to do the shopping on my behalf. I can trust my carer to do my shopping for me as she has done under lockdown and to make sensible decisions about what to buy if the shop has not got the exact product that I specified.

I have Jo to take me shopping on a weekly basis.
Kevin has done work in the garden. The help I have received is exceptionally good. The carers have always been punctual and Kevin went well beyond the call of duty and when he took me on an emergency visit to the doctors, collected prescription and helped with the shopping over and above the gardening which he had originally planned to do.

My mother has someone once a week for an hour to hoover and clean. This is working extremely well and I am very pleased with the service provided. We have recently used the maintenance service which was extremely helpful. We were able to get a front door handle replaced quickly and efficiently, which meant my husband did not have to make an 80 mile trip to look at the problem.

The support I need is domestic at the moment as I am finding it increasing difficult to keep my home to a good clean standard. The help enables my required hygiene standards to be met. I find the staff who have delivered the service I need reliable, always pleasant and cheerful and very helpful.They can be flexible and obliging if my needs change. The company are very good at communicating and ensuring our contract is met. I feel that as my health deteriorates we will able to adjust the contract to meet changing needs as demonstrated when their company were employed to support a family member with several health issues.

A carer with car takes me for outings. To garden centre, or assisted supermarket shopping can also use for appointments. Day & time variable. Very satisfied. They discuss what I want to do and advice me. I find the carer very positive and supportive. She judges the pace I need better than I do. She really knows good destinations and makes the most of my trips out.

The carers come in twice a week for two hours, they do some light house work while my husband who is my main carer goes shopping . All carers so far have been very satisfactory. They are flexible to cope with my altering need. I am pleased with the service they provide.

During the two hours that she comes, Julie cleans the kitchen and bathroom floors and vacuums throughout she also generally dusts all over. The company lets you know as soon as possible if their are any concerns.

I selected Support in Hand as they offer caring services in addition to cleaning. They clean my mothers house and also provide company for her. She is elderly with Alzheimer’s and a widow. Support in hand carry out any house working job I ask them do in the home. The staff are always very friendly, polite and nothing is too much trouble. I really do not know what I would do without them. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of service, support in hand give to me. They always arrive on time send the same lady each week, or inform me in good time if they have to send someone else. They carry out their tasks with the utmost efficiency. I cannot praise them highly enough.

Support in hand provides myself and my husband with a monthly ironing service, in our own home, for 2 hours per session. We are very happy with the service we receive. As two busy professionals, we do not have much time for chores such as ironing and support in hand do a great job and I always feel I can trust the staff being in my home. Their work is of an excellent standard and I would strongly recommend them.

Support in hand have cleaned the mobile home of a very elderly gentleman we care for at least a year or more. Originally they also befriended Charles by playing cards and talking to him after the cleaning. They also gave him a prepared lunch and changed and laundered his bedding fortnight. They are a most wonderful company. Fully reliable, conscious, caring a real asset when looking after the elderly. There support has been invaluable to our caring. I was at a point when I could not have carried on caring without support. I am just so glad to responded to an advertisement. I saw locally by support in hand because their caring but very professional service has enabled me to continue the daily care of Charles who is 96 yrs. They are simply first rate. Honest, efficient and kind.

My lady takes me to get my pension and then takes me shopping, we all so go out for lunch, they also do house work for me. It makes me feel great and reassuring to know that someone is there to look after me. I hope they don’t, stop coming.
