We used Norwich Heating Engineer Ltd as recommended by a friend, to replace our boiler and radiators in April 2023 in Norwich. Ollie and Daniel were excellent, provided a competitive and detailed quotation and advice, attended to complete the work exactly on time and as specified. Complete renewal of central heating system to include new combo boiler. We have been putting this off but our ageing boiler wasn’t likely to last. Found the firm via Which Trusted Trader and was very helpful from outset. Came and gave a quote which was reasonable. We really liked his professionalism and so didn’t bother shopping around. Friends in the trades have told us the price was very good considering the amount of work. Ollie and Dan were fantastic from start to finish. Replaced 30+ year old back boiler with a Combi boiler Just Had Ollie and Dan round to fit a new boiler and I couldn''t be happier with the job. Remove old boiler, fit Worcester Bosch 29cdi combination, relocate from kitchen to airing cupboard including new gas supply & flue. Fit TRV’s & Bosch Easy Control. I contacted Ollie to give an estimate for my daughter’s house to remove an old Worcester boiler with very ugly pipe work & fit a new boiler, relocating it from the kitchen to the upstairs bathroom. Ollie quickly recommended a better solution, fitting a Worcester Bosch 29cdi combi bolier in the upstairs airing cupboard which needed a gas supply from the meter to the first floor. His estimate arrived very quickly (£500 less than a less practical solution) & an installation date agreed.

Ollie & Dan arrived on time, to the minute, and spent 2 days doing the work. What they achieved in the time was really impressive and the end result is excellent, the system is so much better for heating and hot water. The quality of the installation is truly impressive, just so neat and tidy & great attention to detail. The pipe work, inside & out, is immaculate.They also left the house in great condition, no mess or bits of rubbish whatsoever.

What was particularly appreciated was Ollie coming back in the evening and spending over an hour taking my daughter through very aspect of the system, especially the Bosch Easy Control system, and making sure she understood it.

Installation of new Worcester Greenstar Compact boiler, new TRVs, and EasyControl. Upgrade/re-routing of some pipework, new waste pipe, plumbing for kitchen taps, outside tap, relocation of flue, external brick work. Ollie arrived promptly to provide a competitive quotation.

Replacement of central heating component Ollie is extremely busy (good sign) and as my problem wasn’t urgent I waited for him to fit me in which he did as soon as he could, and he always gets back to you quickly if you need to get in touch with him. He is very pleasant and very efficient, he explains what he’s doing and how the part he’s replacing works. My heating is working beautifully now and I would certainly recommend this company and I’m planning to have my boiler serviced with him in January.

Ollie replaced our central heating system and installed a water softener and we''re delighted with the quality of the work and service he provided. From the beginning Ollie was courteous, professional and patient visiting our home twice to show different samples, explain the different options available and giving us ideas. This was important as it allowed us to make informed decisions that met our requirements and budget.

In the end we decided on a Worcester boiler, Megaflo un-vented cylinder, new radiators and TRVs all round with Nest controls. We also had a Monarch Ultimate Midi water softener & tri-flow tap installed.

Ollie arrived when he said and put in several days hard work along with Daniel and Andy. All three were friendly courteous and always consulted us if there were different ways of doing something before going ahead with work, and each day we were left with a tidy house and a water supply.

Boiler upgrade with fitting of Worcester Bosch boiler and replacement of gravity fed system with megaflow unvented system From the quotation, performed promptly, politely and comprehensively by Ollie to the completion of the full central heating upgrade carried out by Ollie, Andy & Daniel to time, price and in a professional, courteous and clean manner, the process could not be faulted. Ollie and his team installed a new central heating system with a Worcester Bosch combi boiler to replace an old open vented system. Ollie came to house as planned to give me a quote, I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism which made it an easy decision to chose him for the job. Ollie and his team did a great job, turned up as planned on Monday morning and had finished by Thursday. They removed the old boiler, immersion tank and two water tanks and replaced with Worcester Bosch boiler with Worcester Wave wireless control and thermostatic radiator valves. Replaced existing combi boiler with Worcester Bosch 34 CDi Classic, including filter and limescale inhibitor and flushing of system as required. Upgraded pipework were necessary. Installed new Worcester Wave controls to offer maximum 10 year parts and labour gurantee. After returning from holiday to find our old existing combi boiler broken (subsequently decommissioned by a different heating engineer as it was past the point of fixing), leaving us without any form of heating or hot water, we phoned numerous heating engineers including some of the larger companies for quotes.

Ollie was very responsive and considerate to our needs and even rescheduled work in order to fit us in promptly. This customer focused attitude and the attention to detail and clarity of explaining the work to be undertaken was one of the reasons why we chose Ollie ahead of others, even though there were cheaper alternatives. Ollie was also an Accredited Installer for Worcester Bosch, which after some research was one of our boiler manufacturers of choice.

Ollie and Andy are two of the best tradesmen I have ever used. They are friendly and professional, which is important when trusting people within your house, but most importantly their work is first class.

As mentioned above, you may find cheaper alternatives but this can be offset by the quality of work and materials used. They won''t rush the job to try and move on to the next as quickly as possible. They even sorted a few little jobs outside the original scope of work whilst they were here, without charging extra.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and hope to use them again myself for future work.

Replaced old 10mm pipework throughout with 15 & 22mm pipes. Ollie is an expert in his trade and good at explaining and discussing the work. He has a great attention to detail and he always tries to find the best solution for a particular job.

Both Ollie and Andy worked very hard and to a high standard. They worked some long days but always stayed in good spirit.

The nature of the job was quite disruptive, but by the time they finished all the flooring was placed back as they were before, and the house was left clear and tidy.

Instillation of Worcester bosch CDC compact, external gas pipes and two column radiators Ollie and Andy were punctual and arrived at the agreed time, the work was completed within the time quoted and they left our house in a clean and tidy condition after doing a thoroughly good job. Replaced existing vented hot water cylinder with a new Megaflow un-vented cylinder, replacing all tank feeds and supply pipework in the process and installing a new stop-cock.

Also supplied and installed a new water softener in the kitchen and run a cold hard water supply to the kitchen and outside tap. Ollie and Andy did a great job replacing our old vented hot water cylinder for a new un-vented one and installing a new water softener. From the initial site survey, through to sign off of the work, Ollie was polite and professional. His quote was comprehensive and competitive and he gave us some good advice prior to the work commencing.

The work was carried out at the same time as a bathroom re-fit that was being done by another firm and Ollie and Andy were considerate and helpful to the bathroom installers, making sure that everything went smoothly.

Ollie and Andy were a pleasure to have in the house and they both worked extremely hard. Their work was very neat and tidy and they left everything in a clean and orderly state. They even re-made the airing cupboard shelves to fit around the new cylinder.

Ollie hassled for payment, Once received the rude & personal emails started, as I would not leave him a key for my property, which I would not do for any trademan. Chemical slick on driveway from machine (I cleared up). Took my washing machine fitting did not return it. Left bathroom valve not fitted properly. Cement fell out of brick work.

O J Thurston decommissioned a 46 year old Husqvarna 8 warm air burner, and installed a Worcester 24 system gas boiler into a newly built boiler house. The work involved connection to the existing gas supply, and all the relevant pipework, which required removing floor boards to install radiators where none had previously been located. A new hot water tank was fitted in the airing cupboard together with a replacement immersion heater. Carpets were lifted making sure to limit damage to paintwork and to hide as many pipes as physically possible. The work was carried out by Ollie and Andy in a highly professional manner. Ollie''s communication skills are outstanding. We would not hesitate to recommend.

Fitting a new Worcester Bosch combi boiler. I cannot rate the service provided by O J Thurston Norwich Heating Engineer highly enough. They arrived on time, were meticulous, polite and were a pleasure to deal with. The ‘John Lewis’ of heating engineers – A happy customer.

O J Thurston replaced a Old back boiler system for new Worcester Bosch 30 SI Compact Combi, wireless thermostat. The Boiler was fitted in a cupboard upstairs so a new gas supply had to be piped through the house, pipes rerouted from their original position & TRv''s fitted to each radiator we also asked for a towel rail to be fitted in the bathroom. Ollie & Andy were polite, knowledgeable and cleaned up after every days work. We had a issue with 3 radiators which leaked upstairs, but this was no problem and they were replaced. All rubbished was taken away.

Having not used O J Thurston before I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone as the work was started and completed as quoted in efficient way.

New Worcester boiler After many years in the building trade some 50 years in total as a brick layer and mangering men I picked Oliver from 4 visiting plummers to me my choice was a good one. He is a very first class tradesman in every respect, very spotless in all areas of his work. It was a pleasure to have him doing our work.

Decommision of the old back boiler. Fitted a Worcester Bosch 32CDi Compact Combi Boiler. Had a problem with my back boiler in January so I decided to find the best tradesman in my local area.

Removing old bolier and installing a new one in a different part of the house. It is refreshing to find someone who takes an obvious pride in his work, with attention to detail.

On his first visit Ollie explained in simple language the options that were available, and most suitable to our needs.

His quote came in promptly and was competitive. He included new lagging for the pipes in the loft and other extras not offered by others.

Having booked ahead for the work to start week commencing 21st January, I wouldn''t have been surprised if due to sub zero temperatures Ollie had postponed the work. However he kept in touch and made a start the following day.

He had to fit a new flue on the roof, and make good the hole in the outer wall with bricks, not easy surrounded by snow and ice.

On quotation he was very knowledgeable and myself and my partner had no hesitation in asking Ollie to do the work for us.

Ollie''s work is of a thorough and excellent standard - nothing is too much trouble. Ollie is hardworking and professional and also due to his knowledge was able to save us some money as he finished the work ahead of schedule but also was able to find an existing hidden gas connection internally which saved him having to run pipework up the outside of the property.
