Business Information
Mandy's Famous Pickles is a small independent food business based at Dunburgh Farm in Geldeston, near Beccles, on the Norfolk and Suffolk border. Best known for its homemade pickles, chutneys and preserves made with locally sourced ingredients, the business has grown to offer a great deal more. There is a popular treats range, including afternoon teas, occasion cakes and hampers available for collection or home delivery, alongside outside catering for weddings, birthdays and gatherings of all sizes.
Mandy's meals on wheels service delivers freshly prepared hot meals straight to the door, with local deliveries handled by fully DBS checked drivers and fresh or frozen meals available for posting across the UK. The kitchen is also able to prepare texture-modified IDDSI Level 4, 5 and 6 meals for anyone who finds swallowing difficult, as well as catering for nurseries and care homes.
Everything is made on site by a team that holds a Level 4 Food Hygiene Rating from the Food Standards Agency. As a Norfolk Trusted Trader, Mandy's Famous Pickles has been vetted and approved by Trading Standards, giving customers confidence and peace of mind.

Mandy provided an absolutely fantastic graze board for our wedding.
Mandy's presentation and eye for detail was second to none, and the quality of the ingredients were brilliant.
I can thoroughly recommend Mandy and loved all the communications, she really is a wonderful woman and provides a top notch service.

My wife has non verbal Alzheimers plus dysphagia and has to have a level 4 pureed diet. Mandy's Pickles provides meals, snacks and drinks all freshly prepared from good ingredients to the standard that my wife needs. There is a good range of meals which so far my wife seems happy with, the drinks in particular are a God send as to mix drinks to the right consistency is a nightmare, and it is wonderful to just open a bottle cap and have a drink that is spot on. My wife also enjoys these more than any that I have prepared myself. Mandy's Pickles is a local firm and she has a 'hands on ' attitude to the business and is always at the end of the phone or email if there is a need to contact her. I have not met her but she is always very pleasant on the phone. The young man who makes the deliveries is also very nice and helpful.
As well as the special diet that my wife needs Mandy also does ordinary food and I have tried a Sunday roast and can vouch for the quality.
I would definitely advise anyone faced with all the problems and work that dealing with dysphagia brings to try Mandy's Pickles.

My Grandfather was housebound and lived alone, he had daily visits from carers. We came across Mandys Pickles on Facebook and decided to place an order to see if Grandad liked them. From the first meal Grandad would tell everyone how lovely his hot meal and pudding was. After a while we decided to get the tea trays too. Grandad loved these and always commented on the quality of the ingredients. Grandad used to comment and say that the hot meals reminded him of the meals his mother used to make.
He would look forward to his meal delivery day , it was a highlight of his week!
Grandad had type 2 diabetes and was on tablets and insulin twice daily.
From the moment he started eating Mandys meals his sugar levels dropped and he had consistently good readings!
Grandad was very happy with the quality of the meals, very reasonably priced and they made his final few months enjoyable.
I am also thankful for the personal touches, messages from Mandy to check if Grandad was happy with his meals. Adapting meals to suit his vegetable preference and overall kindness.
I would recommend this company anyone and everyone.

I chose Mandy, initially because of her ethos with how she supports her community.
Mandy's communication was timely, warm and friendly. When we met in person at her shop, we knew instantly we had made the right choice.
We came home armed with the most delicious chutneys and pickles.
On the day of the wedding, Mandy's graze boards were absolutely fantastic, presented beautifully and were of high quality.
We had the best time and thoroughly recommend Mandy x

I have ckd5 and I require foods that are kidney friendly , also being type 1 diabetic I went in and spoke to Mandy , she was more than helpfull with my requirement and what I do and don’t like and that really made me feel confident and at easy , also Mandy suggested other kidney friendly things

Iv just mandy and her team on several occasions. Iv had two buffets and several cream tea hampers. All made with the best ingredients. The presentation of mandy food is lovely and all the colours of food and cake. Mandy quote was by far the best. I will always use mandy pickles all made by herself. I would highly recommend this company. I class mandy as a friend now. Use mandy pickles you won't be disappointed xxx

Mandy’s Pickles has been an absolute life line for my elderly mother in law! She loves a home cooked meal, but is not able to stand and prepare one herself anymore. Mandy delivers meals twice a week for her, that she can eat there and then as they are hot, or wait until later and reheat them! The perfect scenario!
Very affordable prices and meals that work, with a huge variety to choose from all delivered to her door so she doesn’t have to worry about going out ! What a difference this has made, she is so happy and eating more because of it, not just opening a can of soup!! Thanks Mandy!!

We have used Mandys Pickles for just about everything including hampers of her wonderful pickles, chutneys and jams. Ordered fresh fruit and veg during the pandemic. Ordered beautiful hand made birthday cakes. Had afternoon teas delivered to relatives on several occasions and had them sent to me by others. So I have definitely tried and enjoyed almost everything she does apart from her meals on wheels but who’s to say I might not need them in the future !!

My elderly mother has meals delivered every week day by Many and her team. She really enjoys the meals provided and looks forward to seeing the lady who delivers it every day. The meals are the right size for an elderly person and the fresh vegetables change daily. The meals are good home cooked ones. If there is something mum doesn't like, that occurs regularly, they will change it every week for something they know she enjoys. They will see that mum is ok every day with a cheery smile. Mum struggles to get the lids off her meals as they are a it tight and the lady who delivers takes the lids off for mum when she pops her meals onto her try for her. Their service is great.

Entering the cafe area, it was clean and fresh with a welcoming smile and hello from the staff member, after sitting me down to a table with a lovely view of the countryside a drink was offered while I waited for the freshly cooked breakfast that I ordered , after a short wait a piping hot full English breakfast came, 10/10 for service, value , and contents on the plate, all freshly prepared , would highly recommend
