Removal and installation of existing patio along with sandstone walling. Replacement of a pergola and renovation and relaying of an existing path.

Removal of existing patio and replacing with a new quadrant patio (quarter of a circle) with 25 cm wall facing. In addition a requirement for a new pergola and renovation of an existing path using paving in situ.

J H Property Services supplied a detailed quotation with 'Terms and Conditions' before work was undertaken. A date for starting the work was agreed.

All work was undertaken by JHPS including removal of rubble and paving which was environmentally disposed of. New hardcore was laid down and a base prepared along with installation of new uprights for pergola before Indian Sandstone paving was laid. This often required some of the slabs to be cut to size to achieve the required pattern. The gaps between the paving were then filled with Patio Pointing Mortar.

JHPS supplied all materials with exception of sandstone paving and walling. They sourced timber and undertook all weather proofing before installtion.

Finally JHPS relaid and renovated the existing path cutting slabs as necessary.

JHPS had all the necessary equipment for working on site and transporting materials and waste away from site.

Corner paved patio with raised beds and pergola. James provided an excellent professional and friendly service. The standard of work was extremely high and carried out in an efficient and personable manner. We are very pleased with the result and have had numerous compliments from friends and family about the result that has been achieved and the standard of work carried out. We could not be more happy with the way this has improved both the look and the usability of our garden space.

Dealing with James and his company was an easy process from start to finish. We had detailed discussions prior to work commencing and although there were hold ups in the timescale for starting the work this was due to delays caused by the pandemic and no fault of the company at all. Once started, the work was carried out efficiently and to a high professional standard. The garden was also left in a clean and tidy condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending James and his company for this type of work. In fact, having seen the quality of the work carried out, friends have also used James for a paving job in their garden which they are also very pleased with.

A patio was extended, a path laid using slabs, a low wall removed and a grass area reshaped and turfed.

Very pleased with the work. He extended our patio and the quality was far better than the original. The gravel base was compacted with a vibrating plate and the slabs were laid on a continuous cement base not cement dots. The grouting was better than the original. A digger was used to shape the lawn and the new turf was good. We were able to discuss changes to our plans and he was happy to work together with us. He was tidy and sensible.
