James from Castle Electrical made an excellent job of installing a new up-to-date fuseboard in a more accessible position to replace two old ones. The wiring had to be re-routed through a very fiddly cavity and he deserved a medal for figuring out all the connections! He also put in three new bedroom light fittings and fixed a poorly done one in the lounge. We are very pleased with all the work, the care taken and the advice given throughout the quote and installation process. I would thoroughly recommend this company.

I had problems with a circuit tripping out. The engineer from Castle Electrical appeared earlier than scheduled. He was polite and conscientious in his work. The fault finding process is one which requires a methodical approach. He checked all the sockets and found one which had damp ingress over a long period. The whole system was checked before he left. Over a period of 20 years we have always used John for our domestic electrical work. This was for checking and repairing the full wiring system for our Victorian house in Norwich including issue of a safety certificate. Replacing a defunct neon light unit in pantry. I contacted John on a Sunday, received a response on the Monday and the work was completed on the following Friday. Excellent service.

The work was the installation of a replacement, upgraded consumer unit and an additional power circuit to one room in the house. The new consumer unit was installed to replace the outdated 19 years old unit which no longer conformed to current electrical standards. The benefits of upgrading some of the circuit trip switches were clearly explained to me, as was the additional cost of doing so. I was pleased that the original date for installation was readily changed at my request and the work was done promptly on the deferred date with no delay between the start of the job and completion. We have used Castle Electrical Services several times now, for checking out wiring on flats we were thinking of buying, and changing some lights in the flat we did eventually buy. Replacement of 3 external lights including junction boxes, replacement of one internal light an relocation of a socket Excellent service from start to finish, my shower switch was done within a week of me contacting them and the rest booked in for a few weeks later. Prices very acceptable, workman work masks and took shoes off even though I said they didn''t need (as got washable floors). Very tidy work all rubbish taken with them. I will certainly use Castle Electrical again and recommend them to others.
