Writing reviews is not something I routinely do. However, in the case of Carters Heating Services I feel compelled to do so as I found them excellent in every possible way.
My oil boiler and associated pipework was old and badly in need of replacement. I wanted somebody to give a fixed quotation to provide a fully up and running system.
The first thing that gave me confidence was that the chap who came and did the survey really knew his stuff. I liked the fact that he just explained it as it was and was really thorough, there was no "I'll have to get back to you on that" once he had finished he had done the lot. The quote came through and it was very clear with no "if we find it needs this or that it will cost extra." It did give the cost of adding optional extras which were separately quoted on. I had one out of scope task of asking them if they could also block off an apperture in the cupboard which was not really part of what you might heating engineers do but they did it and just charged for the time and materials when it was done which I was happy with. A small thing but appreciated rather than getting someone else in just to do that.
They turned up on exactly the day specified and completed what was a fairly big job exactly within the time-frame they set. One other good thing was that I received a text to say they were on their way every day and on one day there was a short delay because they had to pick up some materials, the office also called to explain. I don't find that a lot of businesses do that but it is appreciated so that you can carry on with other things and know what is going on.
I think we had four different members of their team across the days they were in our home and they were all very respectful of it being that - someone's home. They carefully covered their shoes and put down groundsheets where necessary and tidied up meticulously when they went. All very polite and professional.
I did have one or two queries that I phoned the office about during the project and they were also always polite and attentive.
All in all, I think Carters did an excellent job and I would have no hesitation in recommending them based on our experience,

Boiler service. The Engineer Adrian Lupton was excellent, in the Eight years the boiler has been installed I have never seen it serviced so thoroughly. Adrian was a very professional , clean and tidy worker he was also very polite. I was recommended Carters by a neighbour and I have thanked them for it. We will Definitely use again and recommend.

Great company and service. They came the same day I phoned which was great. Friendly and very polite and definitely know what they are doing which is great, would highly recommend this company.

Excellent service and advice from Carters' engineer Paul. Would definitely recommend this firm. From the moment we called into their office, emails from Ellie keeping us up-to-date re order of parts, to when visit to do the work. Arrived within allotted time, so all good.

I needed three toilets repaired in my new home and Adam, from Carter's, assessed them and advised some additional work to ensure they would be completely reliable with no further issues for me to worry about. He worked quickly and carefully, cleaning up thoroughly before leaving. The office support was friendly and helpful and I would most definitely use Carters again.

I have used Carters several times over the past year and they are fantastic. They are punctual, reliable and I highly recommend them. Ellie/Fiona are lovely and patient, Steve was outstanding with our recent laundry machine leak and Paul who came round today was brilliant where he had to correct another plumbers shoddy work. We had been struggling with an over-complicated, dying heating system for years, that all other heating engineers were too scared to approach! So, we were unbelievably lucky to be recommended Carters... they were so knowledgeable, professional and agile when it came to adapting to the MANY problems the old system presented. They gave us a fair quote, their communication was outstanding, they were prompt, worked so hard in the face of adversity, were really friendly and thorough and we now have an entirely new heating system that has made us realise just how bad the old system was! They also gave us great tips and advice and are only a phonecall away if we have any problems. Can't recommend them enough.
