Internal alterations, plus removal of chimney and chimney breast, electrical work, central heating work, and all making good This alteration entailed both inside and outside work. We found both the management and the tradesmen very helpful and friendly. They respected the fact that we were still living in the property while the work was being done and each day made it possible for us to use the kitchen area when they had finished for the day.

We are very happy with the standard of the work completed covering carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering and general building work.
The men were always on time and it was a pleasure having them in our home.

Rebuild brick pier

Replace fence panel and post and all associated work.

Replacing a collapsing retaining wall that was causing a large crack on the patro
Lifting and relaying the patro on concrete and steel framed bed so there would be no further movement rebuilding patro steps replacing a sill pipe We were very pleased with the work done by John and his team. He stuck to the 415 week time scale given. His team were excellent and minimised disruption we are delighted with finished work and would recommend John Russon without reservation. We will certainly be using him again with future works

Replastering hall, stairs, landing and original kitchen
Replace stair balustrade with oak. We are delighted with the finished work which gives our home that "wow" factor on entering.
The messy replastering work was completed efficiently and the mess cleared up.
The woodwork was executed to the hightest standard and the overall effect is very impressive.

Garage conversion knocked through into the house. We could not recommend John and his team highly enough, they kept us update on works and finished ahead of schedule. Lots of common sense and totally professional. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

John and his team were contracted to adapt my bathroom into a level access showroom and also to adapt my kitchen to my needs. John and his team were great to have do my adaptions. They were always on time, kept me updated on progress and tidied up each day. the work they carried out was done to a high standard and the team were all really nice and friendly to have around. As an anxiety sufferer I was a bit concerned but they all made the whole experience so easy for myself and my children.

Changing shower room to a wet room. Moving sink and toilet to better position and also moving existing radiator. Widening doors for wheelchair access. Leveling floor from kitchen to lobby. John Russen's team of workers were, very helpful and efficient. At times problems arose with this job through no fault of theirs and they delt with them promptly and efficiently. They were always cheerful and polite. I would recommend them 100%.

Rear extension to from large kitchen and family room. Supply and fit kitchen. Work was carried out to my full satisfaction. All very friendly, helpful and trustworthy. Nothing too much trouble. Would recommend.

Form bathroom and connect services and tiling plus make good - bedroom. Overboard, plastering, damp proof floor overboard ceiling plaster - dining room. John and his team were very professional, any problems were soon solved. Such friendly people, always on time, kept me up to date on everything. Build a second story extension above existing kitchen (flat roof) extended existing pitch roof. The quality of the work and the finish was excellent. The team were well experienced and so polite! Some structural issues were uncovered from past building work. There were addressed with a strong will to do the right thing and backed by structural calculations.

Hand rail round garden so I can go outside in my garden. Really pleased. Thank you. Two back steps removed three pot in place. The job didn’t take long two large steps removed out backside back door. Three steps installed. Hand rail around one side of garden helps me got around my garden I love it best choice I ever made. He has a lovely team of young lads.

This was a one off call as an urgent problem, the contractor attended in less than 24 hours of my call. The problem was dealt with very professionally and to my entire satisfaction and way rectified.

The work is carried out in a professional no nonsense manner and is of high quality. Work executed by local authority contract on fixed price contract , under a duabled grant. No changes to contract were needed. Great detail given to progress of work to a reliable programme. Conversion of “normal” bathroom to easy – access shower with special equipment for disabled use. Exempt from VAT. There was much disruption – but I do not see how it could have been avoided. John Russen’s personal attention was superb. Nothing seemed to be too trivial or too much trouble for him.

Remove old UPVC door. Supply and fit new wooden door. Mr. Russen did a very good job. He was reliable, conscientious and patient, with very good knowledge and attention to detail. I acquired a mobility grant for access to my bungalow. Mr J Russen & staff carried out the work in a very professional manner.

Screwing metal plates to garage wall, fixing new pulleys to linen line post and putting in piece linen line. Mr Russen promised to come on Wednesday after 2 small jobs had been completed. The 2 jobs took longer but he still came as promised. He also said if the repair did not work out he would come back and re-do it! I will be employing Mr Russen in a few weeks time to repair some brick work.

Remove & replace old insulation in large bedroom replace all plasterboard & floor-boarding & felt with new close insulation & apply time to loft insulation & naked roof. Plaque skin and make good & seal door with & gaps in old work. John Russen came to our house and discussed helpfully a range of possibilities for the improvements we worked. He researched and checked on possibilities and liaised with the architect. At all times to kept in touch with us modifying plans where necessary. The firm started when they said, kept the whole site clean and explained to us what was happening at all times. We have asked them back to start a new improvement in our home.

Bathroom renovation, kitchen extension (total remodeling). John Russen immediately creates a calm approach to discussing initial plans. He's positive and is open to projects suggested and provides advice where required. Communication throughout was good. Team employed were great too.

Single storey side extension. From when John made his first visit to the end of the project, we found him and all his team to be very polite, helpful, respectful and very hard-working. Mostly the team was friendly helpful considerate and professional. However on odd occasions some members of the team let Mr. Russen down & occasionally Mr. Russen let himself down when dealing with some members of the team.

Separate toilet and shower room were converted into one big wet room. Everything was made accessible for me in my wheel chair.
