Aged lock was broken inside, replaced with an insurance approved lock, making the property feel more secure. Completely reasonable price for the service provided, and he was a very polite and tidy tradesperson.

Front door latch had broken and stuck closed on an aluminium door. Aaron came out and had a look and though a difficult job, he ploughed through and was able to remove the existing 30 year old mechanism and replace with a very decent replacement that doesn't look out of place with the old door. Am very happy and satisfied with the work and friendly attitude.

We had a christmas guest behind a firedoor and the lock was broken all on Christmas Eve. I wanted to find someone local but its difficult as the national firms are very good at looking local on Stowmarket. Tried A1 Locksmiths in stowmarket , couldn't reach them to start with but they saw a missed call and rang me back. All I can say is they were utterly brilliant. They said they'd be there in an hour and were, they got past the lock quickly and then diagnosed the problem of a broken lock, despite it being an old lock they were able to put a new element in to make it work again. I braced myself for the bill and it was very reasonable.

One gearbox replaced in french door due to not locking. Aaron came round to have a look to identify the problem first. Went away to order a new gearbox and fitted within a few days.

The lock was replaced on patio door when the key snapped off inside the lock. Very swift same day service. Friendly and professional and everything was checked such as how the door was hanging and ensuring locking mechanism was all lined up. Price was very reasonable with only the essential repair carried out and no hard sell of unnecessary work. Highly recommended.

I had the locks changed on my new house for security and Arron was very prompt and efficient in doing so which was much appreciated. All locks left in perfect working order.
On the carpentry side, Arron built the framework for a new chimney breast and arranged for that to be plastered, all of which was excellent and exactly to my specifications. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy, always ready to adaptor amend to his customer’s satisfaction.
Everything left clean and tidy on completion and I would have no hesitation in using his services again for ongoing projects.
