James and his team have been looking after our property for years, handling everything from major tree work to trimming back dense hedgerows. Because our trees are in a conservation area, we rely heavily on their expert advice, and they always prioritise the long-term health of the trees. They are professional, safety-conscious, and a complete pleasure to work with. We wouldn't trust anyone else - you and your trees are in the safest hands!

James and his colleagues have worked on a number of trees at our property. They offer an outstanding service, both in terms of value for money and the quality of their work.
James, unlike most tree surgeons, values trees for their own sake and has an impressive knowledge of them and their health. Refreshingly, he would never recommend unnecessary work.

We have used James for many years to predominantly cut our huge Laurel hedge and prune our trees. He and his colleagues have always been very professional. The work is of the highest standard and James’ knowledge of trees is second to none. He recently examined and worked on our very old apple tree, which we feared may have to be felled but thanks to his vast knowledge James has managed to save it.
We would highly recommend him.

James viewed and completed the removal of my larch tree top exactly to my written instructions, as I was away. He was extremely communicative, tidy on site, value for money, works were completed quickly and when scheduled. Fabulous! Would definitely recommend James and use him again.

James came to quote at my request for 2 trees in my garden to be ‘trimmed’. He was really knowledgeable and happy to share his knowledge and gave really good advice. Ultimately, I had one tree pollarded and the other tree reduced and re-shaped. I am really, really pleased with the results. Great value and really hard-working guys who left the garden absolutely immaculate after they had finished.

James and his team were contracted by the Parish Council to fell a number of trees in our community wood. They did a great job in the time quoted and left the site tidy. They will be used again for further work within the village.

We had a large amount of ivy taken off the front and side of the house. It was a time consuming job and Paul worked non stop with it.
He also trimmed our copper beech bushes that now look neat and tidy.
I would definitely recommend this company, as they were on time, very courteous and tidied up thoroughly.

We had 2 trees cut down and the crown raised on our huge weeping willow. James and his team provided a great service, providing a fair quote on the same day I got in touch, work completed within a couple of weeks of booking and all done in 1 day. We have used James for work on our hedges and trees previously and highly recommend him. We will definately be using his company again for future work.

James and his colleagues have worked on my garden for a couple of years now and they've always been very courteous and kept several of my trees including a large willow looking really good. I'm also surrounded by high hedges which they've kept neatly trimmed. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone!

Jamie trimmed our 90 x 14 x 8ft hedge. He did a great job and the hedge looks excellent .
We started using J. Firman trees 2 years ago and he now looks after our very large hedge and our trees.
I would highly recommend Jamie as he always on time does an excellent job and is very accommodating. The work is always fairly priced and I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending Jamie.
