Aldous Roofing & Renovations

Matthew investigated and repaired a leaking roof for us earlier this year (2026). This was not the first work he has carried out for us
We are highly satisfied, and we would not hesitate to use his services again or recommend him to others

Matthew gave us a quote to replace the victorian lead flat roofing between our house and the neighbours with modern materials. Despite some delays starting, which were not the fault of Aldous Roofing, Matthew and his team remained committed to finish the job and for the price quoted. On the day of finishing, we had a heavy downpour overnight causing some of the mortar to move, again not the fault of Aldous Roofing as they are not in control of the weather!! However, Matthew returned and made it good again without question or any extra charges. I would definitely use them again. Thank you Matthew.

Overall very satisfied with the work carried out, it was to prevent further problems with leaks in the original roof over the bay window. Have been unable to check that due to the dry summer and lack of rain but feel confident that it will have cured the problem.

Really pleasant guys, worked well, on time kept us informed throughout. Cleaned up after themselves . Highly recommend . We would defiantly use again if needed

Partial roofing repairs on a large section on a listed building and a second leak repair on a different area of roof.
Matthew and his colleague were a pleasure to have doing the work. They came when agreed and kept me fully informed both verbally and with photographs as the jobs progressed. They were tidy and considerate throughout the process.
Having observed their work my neighbour employed them shortly afterwards.

Aldous Roofing and Renovations replaced my main house roof, and I can thoroughly recommend Matt and his work group. I had the full roof stripped, the original timbers were assessed and deemed more than adequate to re-use, and then the roof was stripped, new membrane applied and new tiles and coping stones.
The original porch was also in dire need of a new roof, and that too was done in the same style, which I was very pleased with indeed.

The capping on the chimneys was in a very sorry state, which Matt removed the old capping and re-capped off the chimneys and fitted an air breather to ensure air circulation.

Matt is very knowledgeable on all of the aspects of the roofing, soffits and guttering works, providing answers to any questions and solutions to any problems that were subsequently found as a result of clearing away any areas that were worse than previously thought.
Other works that I thought would be very challenging were tackled quickly and any issues rectified to a very high standard and any repair work talked through first and then carried out in a timely manner.

Aldous Roofing and Renovation's work ethic is second to none, with great house keeping and are very aware and mindful of any messy arisings, and the waste cleared away quickly and without any worries.
Any deliveries were communicated in good time to avoid any conflicting deliveries or general comings or goings of not only us, but others as well.

Aldous Roofing and Renovations are also very aware of the neighbours and are very considerate with needs and communicate well with them.
They are also very good when we have not been able to be at home for short or extended periods of time, and left all of the keys to help them and us with deliveries and anything else that was required.

One thing I think is key, is that Matt will walk you through costs and what the expected costs will be, and if there are any points, how much it may cost to fix something that may need repairing or replacing, or it could be ok. Sometimes you just do not know until you start, but Matt is very knowledgeable and realistic with what prices are and what to expect. Obviously, some prices can be out of their control due to other world situations that are out of anyones control, but again, they do communicate this to you upfront and in a timely manner.

I have used many contractors in the past, but Aldous Roofing And Renovations are very knowledgeable, competent and professional outfit who I would not hesitate to recommend in an instant to anyone in need of a roof or building work that is done correctly, and to a very high standard. Matt and all of the guys work to a very high standard and their work speaks volumes about their craftsmanship.
