General house maintenance. Good quality of work: tidy, polite and professional. John has completed house and garden maintenance for us for over 12 years. He's one of the best.

Clearance of front garden, laying membrane and slate, garage - replace roof new door and windows. Shed - new door and window, replace back door lock, installing loft ladder, purchase of all necessary materials. John was always punctual, polite and tided each day after work. Work was all completed within estimated time and to a high standard. We have already asked John to return to do additional work and would recommend him to anybody.

Repair and paint external windows and doors. I was very pleased with the work carried out. John is friendly, hardworking very conscientious and totally trustworthy. I would have no hesitation recommending him to friends and family and will definitely be using his service again.

John is a delight to have around the house whilst working. He is conscientious and committed to doing his best for the client. General gardening tasks over a three month period while I recover from an operation hourly fee, variable hours. In the short time I have known him I have found John Cook an honest and reliable workman. He has a good collection of tools for gardening and I was pleased to see him using safety equipment because it worries me to see people using sharp tools unprotected. The planned date of my operation has been delayed while further tests were carried out. John Cook has been flexible and helpful about this.

To install a new gate for the garden. I have called on John Cook for quite a few years to help with home maintenance - and he has always been totally reliable, trustworthy, to the point, I can leave the house in his capable hands.

Rob down and paint all second storey window frames, sockets and barge boards and Santex cable end at front of house. Mr. Cook was very obliging, discussed any problems we encountered but completed the work in accordance with the original estimate in fact he did work essential for the satisfactory completion of the work over and above what was originally asked of him at no extra cost. I have asked him to carry out another job for me in May 2010 - to rebuild a large pergola.

Everything was top class from start to finish and I would recommend John.
