We had Matt come and quote us to replace all of our aging UPVC windows and doors (came highly recommended), was so impressed with his professionalism and advice I didn’t bother with any other quotes, once ordered and an installation date given Matt and Shaun turned up when he said they were coming and got on with the job, worked in with my wife who works from home and left no mess at all, quite an achievement considering the inclement weather that particular week, first class workmanship, genuine and very professional, replacement windows and doors have transformed our property, very pleased with the product supplied and with Gr8Glass, wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend

We had a double glazed kitchen window fitted. Matt came on the date and time promised. He did an excellent job in double quick time and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

After being let down several times I spoke with Matt and he was 100% professional nothing was too much trouble.New door for my garage and the exact colour I required was sourced.Wouldn’t hesitate using him again.All work was of high quality and left clean and tidy.

Never had much luck with trades in the past but I'm glad to say after meeting Matt @ Gr8 Glass my faith has been restored. We had a problem with the locking mechanism on our back door, when Matt turned he had a look and informed me that he'd never seen one like that and not sure it could be fixed. He could have sold me a new door at this point which would have cost us in the region of £1k, but he didn't, he went away, done some research, and found a supplier who could supply him with the parts which was a lot less than replacing the door! He's done some other work for us on the back of this and it's all been A1, he's always turns up when he says he's going to and his work is of a very high standard. I would have no issues recommending him to anyone.

Always Trustworthy and efficient

We have used Gr8glass (Matt Porter) on several occasions previously and have left positive reviews for previous work completed, so we have a balanced approach to reviews. However, we are saddened to say that we had a new conservatory fitted in April 2022 by Matt Porter. This was to replace an old conservatory which had been leaking. Prior to ordering the conservatory, we were reassured by Matt Porter that the new conservatory would not leak. Unfortunately this did not prove to be the case. We had our first leak two days after fitting and have now had a total of six leaks with this conservatory. It is still leaking badly on the date of writing this review. Matt Porter has become unprofessional as he has become frustrated by his inability to rectify the constant leaks, despite being given multiple opportunities to fix them. It has got to the point that we no longer want him back in our home. He has tried to blame multiple parts of our property for the leaks to try and negate responsibility. So much so that after advice from Norfolk Trading Standards we paid for an independent chartered surveyor to inspect and report on the conservatory. The result of this survey identified no problems with our property and found faults with the conservatory and the fitting of it. We have had to progress a complaint via the Norfolk Trusted Trader Manager regarding this company. To date, the conservatory is still leaking 16 months after fitting. As this review process asked, we would not recommend this company to anyone else and definitely will not be using them again for any work at our property.

I would not consider anyone else than Matt to do work on doors and windows than my house. I have used his services in five separate occasions now. The standard of his work is exceptional, his attention to detail is second to none and he literally cannot do enough for you.

Use him with absolute confidence. In my experience, there is no one better in Norfolk to do this sort of work.

Matt has replaced the windows and doors for me over a few years, always happy and completely understanding about my phased approach because of finance. He always turned up when he said he would, no hard pressure sales and most importantly did a fantastic job. The window frames were not easy to replace due to previous workmanship and Matt always left everything tidy and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending him and would happily employ Matt again in the future.

Replacement of all windows, doors, installation of two sets of bi-fold doors, soffits, guttering and fascia. Since moving in three years ago we’ve been doing our house up, both inside and out. Over that time we’ve replaced all our windows, doors, guttering, soffits and fascia over various (money dependent) stages of work. Matt has been our ‘go to’ man for all of that work.

I can’t stress this enough. He is brilliant. The quality of his work is fabulous, his attention to detail and passion for getting things absolutely spot on is a joy. He cares. And, to top it off he’s a lovely bloke who we’re going to really miss not having around.

If we need anything else done in the future (and we’ve already got sights on our garage) we’ll be calling Matt straight away.

Replacement of two wooden doors to workshop and pedestrian entrance to garage with uPVC doors When Matt came to quote I was impressed by his professional but friendly approach. He asked lots of questions about what exactly was required and made useful suggestions about what would provide the best solution and took his time over the whole process.

His quotation, which arrived promptly, proved to be the cheaper of two and I felt confident that gr8 glass would do a good job. Once I''d accepted the quote he gave us a clear indication of the lead time and subsequently called to confirm the installation date that was within that time.

On installation day, he arrived bang on time, confirmed our requirements again and then set about the installation. Matt was very thorough with everything he did with great attention to detail. When he left, there was no trace that he''d been apart from the new doors, everything being left very clean and tidy and old doors/frames removed from site.

Overall, delighted with the result and would happily recommend Matt and gr8glass.

Replacement of three rotten wooden window frames, including one full height. This was the third time I had used Matt at GR8, because I was very happy with the previous work he did. He was professional, helpful and tidy as always and I would highly recommend him.

Fitting new wooden framed double glazed window units - some non opening and others opening, plus window ledges. We have been using Gr8 Glass for the last 4 years to gradually replace all of our old windows. The service is always polite, cheerful and clear. Quotes are given, checked and rechecked. Matt takes a very personal role in the work and is very tidy, efficient and clear in all he does. The service is brilliant as it means someone can have windows replaced or fitted at their own financial pace. We could not have had all of our windows done at the same time and with Gr8 glass we have been able to budget and achieve replacing all the windows over a period of time.

Definitely one of the most tidy and neat companies I have ever dealt with - everything is cleaned up and put away and the site left as they find it. I would thoroughly recommend them and will definitely book again for the final two windows and would call Matt for any future work needed.

Two leaking roof sections of a conservatory. These were a combination of normal double glazed panels and opening ventilation panels.
Work was to take out all existing panels of the two affected roof sections and replace with two single double glazed panels to match the rest of the roof. This on a large conservatory of 4m x 6m with a pitched roof. We called in Gr8Glass to solve our leaking conservatory roof, no mean feet as the design had roof panels that were about 3m long and therefore not light weight. The company arrived on time and quickly set to removing the old panels and that meant removing the existing roof beam covers, no mean feat. Nevertheless all was removed and the first of two new panels were in place in no time. Due to access issues the second panel was manoeuvred internally up through the roof opening and then put in place, tricky but carefully and effectively done.
Gr8Glass were courteous and professional throughout I would recommend them.

Replacement of a front door to a cottage. Door was of unusual size and required special ordering and a replacement frame. Absolutely delighted with the door and the work. We could not have astandard height door and required a new frame too. Options were carefully explained and suggestions made - very useful regarding colour as we wanted door to blend in with rest of cottage.

Work standard was first class and afterwards carpet was cleaner than before it started I think!

To supply and fit II upvc windows 2 upvc doors 1 set of french doors. Matt and Aaron were very professional from start to finish. There was very little disruption and everywhere was tidied up and left clean.
Matt and Aaron were friendly and polite and I had no trouble in leaving them on their own to get on with replacing the double glazing.
I was given advice and suggest ions on what was best to have in my house.
