We have used Castle Electrical Services several times now, for checking out wiring on flats we were thinking of buying, and changing some lights in the flat we did eventually buy. They replied promptly to my messages, turned up on time to do the work, and left the place clean. They also provide a certificate to prove the work has been done to an acceptable standard - useful if you plan to sell or rent out at a later date. I do not consider their charges to be excessive and will most certainly be using the company for any further electrical work we need done in the future. Very happy with them, and glad I found them.

We needed a replacement LED Batten light for the kitchen and a replacement pullcord switch in the bedroom. Mr Wilson gave us helpful information about what products were available and told us when someone would come.The workman came as promised and punctually. He was pleasant to deal with and did the work efficiently. He answered our questions about types of lighting we might consider elsewhere in the house. He cleared away all the rubbish before leaving.

They looked back at their records to let me know what was installed previously and gave me a quote to do the job. I originally contacted Castle Electrical Services about 4 years ago regarding the replacement of some outdated electric storage heaters with a more modern version. Root cause analysis of electrical tripping fault. Problem made safe I''ve been delighted with the service that I received from Castle Electrical after I had been concerned with a number of electrical trip instances at my property.

Having described my situation, I was given clear instruction around how diagnosis would take place, including charging. An appointment was then booked within a few days.

I have used this company 5 or 6 times in the last two years for work in my home and for rental properties. They are consistently good.

Twice we have had flats inspected by Castle Electrical Services Ltd for safety. We have twice needed to have flats inspected for the state of the electrics prior to purchase. The first one was found wanting, everything was explained clearly in the report which was sent to us, with supporting photographs. The estimated cost of making the flat safe was explained, but we were not planning to completely rewire a place after buying, so we did not proceed with that purchase.
The second flat was found satisfactory, again a comprehensive report was supplied, which is what we will need as landlords to rent it out.
On both occasions the appointment for the inspection was arranged swiftly so we did not have to wait for results. The company dealt with the estate agents on both occasions.

Contacted Castle Electrical Services via email upon discovering connection cable from inset cooker oven to wall socket was dangerously short in length and asked for quote to replace with longer length connection cable. Received a quick and courteous reply. Amount quoted was competitive so arranged for them to do the job. Contractor, Eddi, turned up bang on the agreed date/time and was very polite and courteous. Despite the existing wiring setup in the wall, Eddi successfully managed to strip out the existing wiring and replaced it with a suitably longer section of cable, reconnected and tested the cooker, fuse box, gas and electricity boxes and left the site clean and tidy. Fitted a new bedroom LED light fitting. Unit supplied by me. The job was a simple connection job which I preferred to be carried out by a professional, and the job was completed to my satisfaction.

1) Install chimney-style kitchen extractor fan supplied by customer.
2) Purchase and install bathroom extractor fan.
3) Test and issue minor works certificate. John was very helpful from first contact via email. He gave advice on chasing an extractor unit that would replace the existing fitting. Fault to spotlights in 2nd floor room examined to see what kept fusing the lights each time they were turned on. The fault was quickly diagnosed and a replacement part installed and the lights then worked perfectly. I chose the firm from the Norfolk CC Trusted Trader list and John responded promptly to say when he could do the work. There was some delay as he had a lot of other work on but our job was non-urgent and we were happy to wait for someone who we believed to be reliable rather than seek an alternative. John attended exactly when agreed and was a very pleasant person to deal with and inspired confidence. He quickly identified and rectified our electrical problem and we were happy with the whole experience. We would highly recommend his firm.
